DeNolf Wanders 🌲 National Park & Adventure Travel Inspo
✋🏼 Based in West Michigan
📍Glacier National Park -> currently I have been photographing since a very young age.

It is more than just a career, its a passion. It's the one thing that keeps me up at night, & fuels me during the day. I always have a camera in my hand (just ask any one of my friends). Ice cream is one of my weaknesses (sherbet is my favorite). & I love orange hi-c with a glass full of ice. I'm constantly listening to music, I have a very broad music range from country, pop, classic rock, & jazz

. I love getting to know my clients, and I want each of your personalities to come out in your pictures. I love capturing special moments in time for you to remember forever! Send me a message if you want to know more! (email, phone call, or smoke signals work as well!)

Saturday’s agenda: 4 miles around Reeds Lake, snacks by the water, ice cream at .icecream (Rory included), and quesadillas on the patio. Honestly the perfect Grand Rapids summer day.

East GR is so underrated for a walkable afternoon, the Reeds Lake Trail is an easy loop, dog friendly, and fun fact it’s where Austin and I spent many of our dates when we first met.

More Michigan content coming because weekends like this are why we love living here. 🐾☀️

Some of these? A few years old. Still sitting there. Waiting. Judging me.

Banff, Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Iceland, New Zealand, all just chilling in my phone and on my cameras memory card like “so are you ever going to post us or what.”

The answer is apparently yes. Today is the day.
If you’ve been here a while, some of these might look familiar. If you’re new, hi, we’re Kait and Austin, we travel every chance we get, we document absolutely everything, and we are very behind on sharing it.

Stick around, there’s a lot more coming.

Most people think New Zealand needs three weeks. We did both islands using 6 days of PTO + 1 company holiday off.

Budget a full travel day (takes 24 hours to travel to New Zealand from North America) on either end and loosing one day on your way there, and you’re looking at 12 days off total, which sounds like a lot until you realize this is completely doable around a normal work schedule. We’ve done it. Here’s exactly how.

North Island: Hobbiton, coastal hikes through the Waitākere Ranges along the Auckland coastline, then a quick domestic flight south.

South Island: Lake Tekapo at golden hour, Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, Wānaka, funyaking the Dart River through Mount Aspiring National Park, an overnight cruise through Milford Sound, and a helicopter over Earnslaw Burn in Glenorchy before flying home out of Queenstown.

Nine days of actual content. Zero wasted days.

Full South Island and North Island itinerary is coming soon, what we did, where we stayed, what was worth every dollar. Save this for your trip to New Zealand.

Proof that you don’t need to fly west (or out of the country) to get a seriously good ski weekend ❄️

We spent this past weekend at Boyne Mountain visiting our family, and the timing could not have been better. A ton of fresh snow earlier this week, giving us chef’s kiss Midwest winter conditions that make you remember why Michigan skiing hits different.

It was one of those weekends where the legs are tired, the cheeks are frozen, and every run feels better than the last. The kind of snow that makes you say “okay… just one more” about 54 times.

Michigan winters really said, fine, I’ll show off, and we were more than happy to take advantage.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to plan a ski weekend up north… this is it 🎿❄️
