When everyday moments can be as memorable as big life events.

This session hits different and it was so fun to capture these two and their love for one another.

This beautiful soul here? She was one of the many NICU nurses (literal angels on earth) who took care of our premature twin girls when they were their itty bitty 3lb selves during one of the scariest seasons of my life. I’ll never forget how sweet she was and some of the little scrapbook picture signs that she made to decorate the area around their isolettes to cheer up the space. IYKYK.

And now here I am, getting to capture her love story with her funny kind teacher of a husband. So between the two of them, they spend their days & nights saving lives and shaping futures. How fitting for National Nurse & Teacher Appreciation Week!

Thank you both for the love and kindness you pour into the world. You deserve all of this and more 🫶🏻

Fun fact: I wanted a sister so badly as a kid that I put a quarter in an old wishing well and hoped for the best. Within a year, my sister entered the world, much to the surprise of my parents who thought their family was complete at two kids. You see, a brother was fun and all and we got up to plenty of shenanigans on the farm, but I thought a sister would be pretty cool too.

Turns out that she would be 10 years younger than me and my shadow. Teenage me was less than pleased 😅 I’m grateful though that she is one of my best friends today.

This family session included siblings of all ages and I left afterwards in complete awe of their connection to each other, whether it was the usual teenage teasing or small shared moments & memories between one another.

These pictures deserve their moment even if fall is long past.

Hi 👋 it’s me. Spring is officially here and I’m coming out of hibernation.

If you know me in real life, I tend to jump in and hyper fixate on certain things for a period of time, burn out, and then come up for air. I may have done that the last few months, but I’m actively working on not doing that 🙃 Between quietly building a custom website with my amazing designer (which was A LOT but she made it as easy as possible) and then trying to consume all the classes, resources, etc. that I committed myself to, it was well, a lot 😅

Not to mention, life doesn’t stop as a parent. Between multiple winter colds, we are so ready for nicer weather. Spring here in the south has meant more activities and fun to be had. The girls have been really enjoying their soccer and gymnastics lately!

Oh and we were in a full out war with the squirrels that were trying to invade our house through the vent pipes. Between roof shenanigans, major professional tree trimming, and spring yard clean up, it’s been an “exciting” time as a homeowner.

Personally, I’ve been enjoying reading in my little free time and have so enjoyed my time spent with my book club friends. We just finished up People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry and had many opinions about the Netflix film afterwards. The MLS & F1 season has started and I’m ready to cheer on my favorite teams!

Anyways, I’m super excited about all the blossoming trees and flowers here (not the pollen explosion though) and cannot wait for my upcoming sessions with some beautiful families and couples! 🌷
