Ava | Class of 2026

The last time I’d seen Ava before her senior shoot, she was…wait for it…eight years old! And when she stepped out of the car, I was like, “WHUT?” Yes, they grow so fast.

Ava is the fourth of her blended-family siblings that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. So I am practically family now! Plus, Ava laughs out loud at my attempt to speak “Gen Alpha.” I get it wrong every single time.

A very busy award-winning cheerleader, Ava’s schedule was super tight, so it was tricky scheduling her photo session. But we did it.

She wanted tall, willowy grasses. And after my extensive location search, I found a park not far from her home. It gives us beautiful late fall vibes and Golden Hour sun and gentle November breezes cool.

Funny thing—moments before the session, Ava had decided to cut, I mean “alter” her black dress by a few inches to make it fit her personal style a little more.

Always innovative, her long and lovely blue dress matched her eyes but not the shoes she’d brought. So she went barefoot. The wind in her hair and Georgia clay between her toes. Perfect.

Ava, you are delightful. I wish you the best for the remainder of your senior year—and always. Stay awesome, sweet friend.

Talia | Class of 2026

Where do I begin? Talia is an amazing young woman and involved in so many things. And for her senior portrait session, we decided to shoot at a venue reflective of who she is—an avid reader and scholar. I found a small, local bookstore that allowed us to photograph there an hour before closing. Then, we headed to a less busy location on Main Street to capture more images.

I’m just grateful we got it done, because Talia’s schedule is always packed. She is a member of the school’s All-girls FTC robotics team—The Spider Bytes. She belongs to a tumbling club and owns a 3D printing business. This fall she was also the house manager for The Walker School’s high school musical production while simultaneously serving as the stage manager for the middle school’s production!

Earlier this year, she ran a 1/2 marathon, and she’s already completed two classes at Georgia Tech! I seriously do not know how she does it all—building robots, competing in statewide competitions, senior classes and volunteer duties.

But she does it because (see paragraph one) she is awesome!
Talia, enjoy the remainder of your senior year. We’ll all enjoy watching you as you design, build, create and craft the most beautiful future.

Robbie | Class of 2026

I had the absolute best time hanging out with Robbie and family for his senior photos. He visited me all the way from South Carolina to let me create these senior portraits for him. I have had the privilege of creating memories for Robbie’s two sisters previously, and there’s one more to go! I know! I’m practically family now, right?

Anyway, Robbie has been in Jr. ROTC for four years now. I mean, y’all, check out all of his regalia! He hopes to attend the Naval Academy and study political science. I mean, this guy showed up looking sharp! I felt compelled to say, “Yes, sir…” throughout the shoot because this young man is legit—an officer (someday) and certainly a gentleman. He loves his family and loves trying not to laugh at my stupid jokes. I got some smiles anyway, my friend, when you weren’t looking!

Thank you, Robbie, for just being your easy-going self. Whatever the future holds for you, my friend, I know you will bring both style and genuine awesome sauce to any situation. Thank you!

Grant | Class of 2026

I can hardly believe this is the same little super energetic preschooler I remember running circles around everyone during Walker homecoming games. Now Grant is a senior preparing to hit it out of the park with his future. This athlete does it all while enjoying his favorite academic subject—English. He, no doubt, will make easy work of writing all his college essays. He plays both varsity baseball and football for Walker. And I was so grateful that athletic directors Tulowotzky and Barrios made arrangements for us to use the fields on the day of Grant’s photo session. Grant made this session super chill, because that’s his vibe now, at least in front of the camera. Enjoy the remainder of your senior year, Grant. Do all the things.

Ben | The Walker School | Class of 2025

Known as “The Mayor” among his peers, Ben can be characterized by his empathic interest in the well-being of others, says his mom. Not only is he incredibly intelligent, but he has also proven to be a thoughtful leader. He has served in leadership roles with the Policy Debate Team, the Latin Club and the Fellowship of Christian Students simultaneously. Last summer, he also represented Georgia as Boys Nation Senator.

A Life Scout, it was important that we photograph Ben with his scout badges, and there are many. During his senior portrait session with me, Ben used his problem solving and logistics skills to help me navigate setting up in a hard-to-reach place on location. I found myself thinking, “Why didn’t I think of that”?

Ben loves history and has a passion for the study of the British monarchy. He’s also a fan of biographies most recently reading Jimmy Carter’s “A Full Life.”

With a keen interest in global affairs, Ben has reflected on food instability, and I will bet—will be well positioned to address such things and more, in the not-too-distant future.

His mother wrote, “…he has demonstrated remarkable perseverance in overcoming physical challenges while maintaining academic excellence and community involvement.”

Ben, we wish you the best as you complete your final high school semester. We all know you’ll continue to learn much, think deeply, lead well and remain awesome.

Lexi | The Walker School | Class of 2025

Lexi is a living doll, and one of the best senior portrait clients I have ever had! She is so easy going, and just a pleasant spirit to be around. Years ago, I created her big brother Zack’s senior portraits, and now it was her time to shine. And she did just that.

This lovely lady is a student athletic trainer and is totally into sports medicine. She also plays lacrosse! I know! Right? And just peeping her Instagram shows you how adored by her friends she is. She describes herself as “goofy, energetic and fun.” And she’s not wrong. We had so much fun on her photo shoot! And doesn’t she look fabulous in blue! Girl, that is your color!

Her favorite subject is psychology, which she can use in whatever career she chooses to pursue—sports medicine or anything else.

Lexi, I wish you a happy remainder of your senior year as you close out the semester. I know you’ve got lots of things on your plate, AP classes, exams, college applications—all the things—but you can manage it all, my friend. With your winning personality and can-do attitude, you’ve got this and much, much more! See you on graduation day, my lovely friend! Till then, stay awesome, which I believe is super easy for you.

Avi | The Walker School | Class of 2025

Okay, so this is going to go viral, because what’s not to like, love and click on here? If there is such a thing as a dream client, this guy is it! With stunning good looks and a fabulous personality evident in every frame, Avi made easy work for Rozi and me.
He is a natural model, and the camera loves this young man! Avi is a competitive dancer skilled in hip hop, jazz, ballet and contemporary dance and has earned numerous national and state awards in power tumbling and trampoline sports.
But wait. There’s more—Avi is an Eagle Scout, a member of the robotics team at school and a disc golf player. I know-uh!!!

Science is his favorite subject, but let’s be honest, there’s no subject that this scholar cannot master. Whatever college he decides to attend next year will be honored to have his academic acumen and his leadership skills. Did I mention that he’s a Peer Leader at his school and teaches at his synagogue?
And while on location during our photo session, he introduced me to a mind-blowing location app, talked about our favorite country music artists, and made me feel just honored to be in his presence. Of course, the pictures are one thing, but the fun we had during the shoot was what made the experience so very special.

Avi, you’re the guy people will always look up to. In advance, I thank you for your boss-awesomeness and gently correcting me for misidentifying Post Malone one of the songs we both like. I won’t live long enough to be as fabulous as you, but that’s okay. I can brag that I knew you. Twenty years from now, people will be like, “Yeah. Sure, you did.” They won’t believe me. But we both have photos to prove it!

May you have a fabulous senior year. We are already proud of you—because you’re amazing. And we all want to BE you when grow up!

Chloe | The Walker School | Class of 2025

This beautiful young lady wanted to feature one of her BFFs in her senior portrait experience. So after capturing some fun images in historic Woodstock, we headed to nearby Falcon Ridge stables…where I met Teddy. Teddy is Chloe’s horse, who I quickly discovered, wasn’t a big fan of off-camera flash. Though he is strong and handsome, he wasn’t able to upstage Chloe at all. With that smile—hers not his—she is clearly the one to focus on. Chloe has been riding and competing in horse shows since she was in lower school. This lady is an also serious scholar, a good friend, and a loving big sister to two other young ladies. Chloe, whether you’ll pursue science or business or something else in college, we wish you well. Enjoy the remainder of your senior year!

Senior Celebration

While I usually photograph high school seniors and grad parties, here's a different kind of senior celebration I got to capture. Rita, a lovely corporate executive and all-around fabulous person, had a fabulous birthday party. And she used the opportunity to encourage all 180 guests to vote this fall. Love that! Here are a few photos of all the fun. HBD, lady! Must be so nice to be so loved!

McKinley-Mt. Paran Christian School–Class of 2025

I remember when this young lady was born! I hadn’t seen her since she was in lower school, and now this? I was like, “Who—who do I talk to?” She was NOT supposed to grow up so fast! The youngest of four—count ‘em—four sisters, including a set of triplets, I remember her running around in her front yard—all legs and the biggest smile on her face! Now she’s all grown up!

According to McKinley’s mom, her hobbies include playing basketball, babysitting, reading and spending time with friends and family. She hopes to attend college on a basketball scholarship to pursue a major in the dentistry field.

I know this much—if, as a dentist, she can help provide others with a winning smile like hers, that would be more than awesome! Best wishes to you, McKinley on being a member of the Class of 2025!

Jaya - The Walker School -Class of 2025

Jaya’s Senior Portrait Experience with me turned into two sessions! We weathered a sudden downpour during her first session but managed to get some awesome images despite the rain. Two weeks later, we took advantage of the Golden Hour sunset where Jaya walked in tall, beautiful grasses for a dreamy, fairytale look.

This lovely lady is a serious scholar and is very active with Girl Talk, Inc—an organization dedicated to inspiring leadership and confidence in young women. She enjoys hanging out with her friends when she’s not focused on her AP classes. And I just love her relationship with her brothers. She’s a mentor to them and drives them to school every day. Not sure what she wants to study in college just yet, but whatever it’ll be, she’ll do it wonderfully.

Congratulations, Jaya, on being a member of The Class of 2025.
