In January of this year we went through a few days where we given some pretty bleak news about some issues Porter had with his right leg, and honestly didn’t know if he’d be able to walk and run like normal for much longer. God stepped in and answered our prayers - for a healthily boy and tests that revealed it wasn’t what they first thought!

Again in late February, he had a flare up and tests showed a few small abnormalities that were understandably concerning. For 6 weeks we dreaded what an MRI might show. And AGAIN God showed up and answered our prayers. NOTHING we were scared might be going on was present!

This morning as I watched my little boy run up and down the beach, I was reminded how differently our life could have looked today. God is faithful: in every season, in every moment, in every up, in every down. ALWAYS.

The last two years have been especially difficult in my life, but today I’m reminded (yet again) just how faithful God is. He keeps His promises! A close friend shared with me during one of my darkest moments earlier this year - “God promises are just that, PROMISES. Not suggestions, but PROMISES!”

Four years ago you showed up and changed our lives like we never could have imagined! So many laughs and so many sweet memories with you, little guy. The world is a brighter place and my life is so much sweeter with you in it! Watching you learn and explore life is a treasure to witness. You’re so full of life, passion and questions! (Oh the questions you ask these days! Haha) You’re truly one of the brightest spots in my life, daily - and I’m so thankful you’re mine.

My little man is O-Fish-ally THREE! There truly aren’t enough words to explain what this ball of energy has brought into our lives. We didn’t know we were adding a little boy to our family until the moment he arrived - and I had no idea he would compliment our family the way he does. Porter is full of life, happiness, jokes and ALL THINGS boy! He loves his family fiercely, and wanted nothing more than a day together to celebrate him.

There’s nothing like having a little boy, and I’d argue that this age is one of the very best there could ever be!

Porter, I wish there was a way to let you know just how much my heart fully loves every single moment I get to watch you grow and be who you are. I’m forever grateful that God allowed me the incredible honor to be your Daddy - and I cannot wait to see the man you will become one day!

NINE years has moved so much faster than anyone could have prepared me for. It really does seem like just yesterday I held you for the first time and my journey as a father began. You’re so creative, you have the sweetest smile and right now I’m lucky enough to be one of your absolute favorite people - and I hope that never changes! 😉 Eleanor, you have brought so much love, joy and laughter into our lives, and I don’t know what I’d do without you!
