Higher RES Visuals

Higher RES Visuals I'm Riley, and I am an Abilene, Texas photographer and artist. Hello! My name is Riley, and I am a full-time photographer and artist.

I find joy in using photography and traditional art medium as a cathartic moment along the self-love journey. I truly believe we are each "marvelously and wonderfully made," and I want to help commemorate the masterpiece you already are. I find deep joy in celebrating clients, using photography as a cathartic moment along the self-love journey. One client even said: "you make people feel at ease a

nd comfortable and have a way of bringing out the best in everyone." In essence, a bo***ir photoshoot serves as a celebration of individuality; it is a visual testament to each person's inherent, God-given beauty.

Sometimes a photograph becomes more than a photograph.

Before her double mastectomy, this beautiful woman trusted me with the opportunity to document her body exactly as it existed in this chapter of her story.

And I knew I wanted to create something that felt like more than traditional bo***ir.

So we turned her into art. 🌸

I hand-painted flowers across her body before photographing her—transforming the session into this beautiful intersection of femininity, vulnerability, strength, and creativity.

There was something incredibly meaningful about covering her in flowers during a moment defined by so much change.

Flowers don’t remain exactly as they are forever.

They grow. They change. They move through seasons.

And none of those transformations make them any less beautiful.

These photographs weren’t created to mourn a body that was about to change.

They were created to honor it.

To celebrate her.

To give her something tangible from this chapter before she stepped courageously into the next one.

This is why I believe photography can be so powerful.

Sometimes we take photographs because we want to remember what something looked like.

And sometimes we create them because we want to remember how powerful we were when everything was changing. 🤍

Thank you for trusting me with something this personal, vulnerable, and beautiful.

MEET THE TEAM 🤍 | Roz, Hair + Makeup Artist

There are some people who simply make an experience better by being part of it—and Roz is absolutely one of those people.

Roz is one of the incredibly talented hair and makeup artists behind Higher RES Visuals, and she has such a gift for enhancing what’s already beautiful rather than covering it up. ✨

She especially shines when it comes to natural glam, mature skin, soft polished looks, and helping clients feel like the most elevated version of themselves—not like someone completely different.

But beyond her talent, I’m most grateful for the way she cares for the women sitting in her chair.

Bo***ir can feel vulnerable, especially at the beginning of the day, and having someone who can make you laugh, relax, and feel taken care of before you ever step in front of my camera makes such a difference.

Roz, thank you for sharing your talent with my clients and for being such an important part of the experience we create together. 🤍

We’re lucky to have you.

MY RAW PAW DESIGN IS OFFICIALLY LIVE. đź–¤

After weeks of sketching, refining, praying over the concept, and somehow convincing myself to finally call it “finished”…meet:

✨ HARD-FOUGHT JOURNEY HOME ✨

My entry for Raw Paw’s Heaven or Hell Design Challenge.

At the heart of the artwork is Psalm 147:3:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Rather than portraying heaven as simply the destination, I wanted this design to acknowledge everything that can happen on the road there—the struggle, wounds, perseverance, faith, healing, and hope that keep us moving forward.

Because some journeys home are hard-fought.

And being wounded doesn’t mean you’ve been abandoned.

This one is deeply personal to me, and seeing something that began in my sketchbook become a wearable piece of art is pretty surreal. 🥹

But now I need YOUR help.

Raw Paw’s challenge is also a marketing competition, which means every order directly supports my entry. If you love the artwork, connect with its message, or just want to support an independent artist doing something a little outside her comfort zone…

grab a shirt + help send Hard-Fought Journey Home up the leaderboard. 🙌

Inspired by Psalm 147:3 and Christina Rossetti’s Up-Hill, this work blends photography and hand-drawn pen shading to tell a story of hope. The tattered wings remind us that healing is rarely easy, while tears point toward restoration. Whether your faith is certain or searching, may it remind you t...

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

That verse became the foundation for my newest artwork, Hard-Fought Journey Home.

When Raw Paw announced Heaven or Hell as this year’s design challenge theme, I didn’t want to create heaven simply as clouds, wings, and something beautiful waiting in the distance.

I wanted to think about the road there.

Because sometimes faith looks less like standing triumphantly on a mountaintop and more like continuing to walk while you’re still wounded.

Sometimes healing and hurting exist in the same season.

Sometimes trusting God means taking another step before we understand where the path is leading.

And sometimes the testimony isn’t that the journey was easy.

It’s that God met us on it.

This artwork is for anyone who has ever felt bruised by life but kept moving toward hope anyway.

For the brokenhearted.

For the healing.

For the ones still somewhere in the middle of the road.

Keep going. 🤍

Your wounds are not the end of your story.

Hard-Fought Journey Home is now available as part of Raw Paw’s Heaven or Hell Design Challenge.

“I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14
The 40 Over 40 campaign is rooted in this truth.
In a world that tells women their beauty fades, this is a space to honor the depth, strength, and story that only time can create.
You are not past your prime — you are walking fully into who you were always meant to be. 🤍

Some pieces begin as an idea. Others begin as a prayer.

Meet Hard-Fought Journey Home—my newest artwork and my submission for Raw Paw’s Heaven or Hell Design Challenge. 🤍

When I started thinking about the theme, I kept coming back to the idea of the journey.

Not the polished version.

The long road. The wounds we collect along the way. The moments when we’re exhausted, uncertain, or wondering how much farther we have to go—and the hope that somehow, even through all of it, we are still being led home.

The Biblical heartbeat behind this piece is Psalm 147:3:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

I was also inspired by Christina Rossetti’s poem Up-Hill and its imagery of a difficult road eventually leading to rest.

Together, those ideas became this piece: a wounded figure continuing forward while heaven waits beyond the struggle.

It’s about faith that survives the hard places.

Healing that doesn’t happen all at once.

And the hope that this difficult stretch of road is not the end of the story.

Hard-Fought Journey Home is officially available now through Raw Paw. đź–¤
