This afternoon, I got a text from one of my best friends, we are practically sisters, to say the least. She said her kids' dad was in town, and they wanted a picture while they had both their dad's together. I grabbed my camera bag and came running! I could not pass up the opportunity to do this because I love how amazing this family is. They don't wear titles such as broken home, blended family, or stepdad/biological dad. They are a FAMILY, plain and simple. This is something that is so rare to see. I constantly see or hear of a step-parent not feeling like they are truly a parent, but they spend just as much time raising and encouraging. I see anger from divorced parents, and I see how badly it hurts the kids more than anyone. This family is a true testimate to how nothing will break them. I am so honored I was asked to take these pictures.
