To my photography community—clients, fellow photographers, friends, and everyone who supports this page—I’m asking you to help a family who means a great deal to me.
My friend Jess, whom I know through judo, and her husband are hardworking parents raising six children, including a 7-month-old baby. After their landlord chose not to renew their lease, they were unable to secure another rental before they had to move.
A generous friend is temporarily sheltering all eight family members. This arrangement will end soon, and they urgently need a stable home of their own.
Jess and her husband have contacted shelters and housing programs, but they have repeatedly faced barriers because of their family’s size, limited availability, pet restrictions, and policies that do not accommodate fathers. They continue working and searching, but the upfront cost of securing suitable housing remains their biggest obstacle.
As photographers, we are invited into people’s lives to preserve the moments that make a house feel like a home—the laughter, connection, milestones, and love shared by a family. Right now, Jess’s family needs the security of a home where those moments can continue.
Donations will help cover first and last month’s rent, security and pet deposits, utility deposits, and essential moving expenses.
If you are able, please consider donating. No amount is too small. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post could help it reach the person who can make a difference.
I know how compassionate and supportive this photography community can be. Let’s come together and help give Jess, her husband, and their six children the stability they deserve.
