My exhibition vernissage is already tomorrow, so I would be happy to see you all there! Eawag Dübendorf, main hall, 12.30.
I have been working with topics of climate change, ecology, and the Anthropocene really close since 2019, when in the frame of the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program wrote my scientific paper about Anthropocene issues in contemporary photography. Then I was observing glaciers melting in Europe and Asia, shooting mostly landscapes. The Blue-Green biodiversity project illustrates how aquatic and terrestrial habitats intertwine and influence each other. I go from the macro to the micro level. Each photograph, taken in the cantons of Aargau, Lucerne, and Graubünden, offers a glimpse into this rich ecological diversity in Switzerland. Collaborating with two huge institutions is a great honour to me. Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology Eawag and Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL. On the photo I make test prints.

"Yellow leaf" from the photo series "Behind the Glass" is a series of colourful one-shot non-manipulated images illustrating ecological problems through art.

The book Behind the Glass received a Bronze medal at the PX3 Prix de la Photographie

Trees behind the glass are willing to escape, but the outside world conditions are unsuitable for their lives. The leaves of the plants touching the misted glass resemble the fingers of people willing to leave this artificial environment which is at the same time their home and the key to their life. The species that grow in greenhouses usually cannot survive in the climate where the greenhouse stands. Observing orangeries, I hope most of the Earth’s plants survive facing climate changes and global warming. People should change their attitude toward nature because ruining the ecosystem is much easier than reviving it. We would not be able to build a greenhouse for a whole planet.
The photo series is an artistic project made while writing my diploma, "Anthropocene Issues in society and Contemporary Photography". Observing orangeries, I hope most of the Earth's plants survive facing climate changes and global warming. People should change their attitude toward nature because ruining the ecosystem is much easier than reviving it. I took photos in Ukraine, Poland, and Hungary.

My photo series Zurich Faces and Bodies is a part of the curatorial selection for the Px3 Paris Photography Prize, topic State of the World. Those n**e portraits speak about self-reliance and connection, feminine power and masculine softness, and fluidity of gender roles and social expectations. I show the raw inner part of people, stepping out from their closing and social roles, and just being their real selves. When you think about Zurich - the first things that come to your mind are banks and expensive boutiques. Look at real Swiss people, strong and soft creative individuals.
