This year showed me why I love taking photographs. 📸

So here is my 2025 recap.

From breathtaking views that stopped me in my tracks 🌍
To history that still roams the streets 🏛️
To people who deserve to be immortalized 👥
To living history, happening right now ⏳
To being one with nature 🍃
And then witnessing its true, raw power 🌋
To walking the streets of every city I visited 🚶‍♂️

I’m grateful for every frame, every story, every moment frozen in time. I’m blessed to have lived through 2025 and excited for what 2026 will bring.

It feels unreal how fast time passed. One blink ago we were welcoming 2025, and now we’re closing its chapter. This year was intense, beautiful, chaotic, and unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey, in front of my lens or behind the scenes.

This is my visual time capsule of 2025. Let’s step into 2026 together. ✨

🇷🇴 1 Decembrie – Ziua Națională a României 🇷🇴
Astăzi sărbătorim 1 Decembrie 1918, ziua în care România s-a unit și și-a scris identitatea modernă. În București, parada militară ne-a reamintit ce înseamnă siguranța și solidaritatea.

Alături de militarii români au defilat și soldați din țările partenere NATO: Franța, Spania, Polonia, Portugalia, SUA şi multe altele, toți în același ritm și cu același scop. 🤝🌍

Dar cele mai emoționante momente au fost cele cu copiii, adevăratul nostru viitor. 📸
I-am văzut urcând pe vehicule militare, atingând tancuri și făcând poze cu soldații, având ochii mari și plini de admirație.

Vă las cu un îndemn pe care orice armată ar trebui să îl urmeze: Adevărata putere nu înseamnă să distrugi. Adevărata putere înseamnă să îi protejezi pe cei vulnerabili. 🛡️✨

La mulți ani, România! 🇷🇴

December 1st – Romania’s National Day 🇷🇴
Today we celebrate December 1st, 1918, the day Romania united and shaped its modern identity. In Bucharest, the military parade once again showed what safety, unity and partnership look like.

Alongside Romanian troops marched soldiers from NATO allies: France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, the USA, and many others, all stepping together with the same purpose. 🤝🌍

But the most touching scenes came from the children, our true future. 📸
Kids climbing into military vehicles, touching tanks, taking photos with soldiers, filled with awe and excitement.

Real strength is not the ability to destroy. Real strength means to protect those who cannot protect themselves. 🛡️✨

Happy National Day, Romania! 🇷🇴

🍁 Bucharest — Autumn Frames & Hidden Corners 🇷🇴
There’s something captivating about Bucharest in autumn — the parks dressed in gold, the quiet streets covered in falling leaves, and that soft afternoon light that makes every photo feel like a memory. 🌤️🍂
But sometimes, the best shots aren’t in the well-known places. This nonconventional park we found had a charm of its own — raw, peaceful, and full of color. Perfect for portraits, perfect for stories.

🌋 Etna — Fire, Life & Grandeur 🇮🇹

Standing on the slopes of Mount Etna, you realize just how small you are compared to the raw power of nature. The craters, the lava desert, the deep colors of fire and rock — it’s both terrifying and breathtaking at the same time.

The lava flows carve through the land, destroy, and yet… they leave behind some of the most fertile soil in the world. Out of that ash and stone grows the food Italy is famous for — rich wines, olives, and flavors that carry the essence of the volcano itself. 🍷🌱🍇

And then, the moment of awe: we actually caught a live eruption. Watching fire burst into the sky is something you never forget — it’s not just a spectacle, it’s a reminder of the unstoppable force beneath our feet.

Etna is not only a mountain, it’s a culture, a rhythm of life, a story of resilience.

Budapest — Twin hearts, one soul 🇭🇺📷
Once the co-capital of a vast empire, today a city where the past and present walk side by side. 🏰🌉 The Danube flows like a silver thread between Buda, the calm, historic hilltop, and Pest, the vibrant urban plain — two parts of one magnificent whole.

You can’t visit without being stunned by the Hungarian Parliament building: a neo-Gothic masterpiece that mirrors into the river like a dream. 🏛️✨ It holds the weight of a nation’s history — and echoes of collaboration and tension with neighboring countries like Romania, whose stories are intertwined through centuries of shared borders, shifting alliances, and mutual influence.

The bridges — Chain, Liberty, Margaret — are more than engineering marvels. They connect not just land, but cultures, eras, and people. And honestly, I still don’t know if Buda or Pest is more beautiful. Can you even choose?

📸✨ Photographing Fotografiska – A Gallery Within a Gallery

In Stockholm, few places capture the soul of photography like Fotografiska. With decades of heritage and countless iconic works etched into its walls, it’s a living museum of light, shadow, and emotion. 🖼️📷

During our visit, we stepped into one of the most surreal exhibits I’ve ever seen:
🌀 ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska!
An immersive experience—a walk-in collage where objects, images, and installations melt into one. Bold, bizarre, thought-provoking, surreal! And what does a photographer do in a place like this? Photographs it, of course.
And so... we enter a strange loop: 📷 photographing photography. Photographyception.
Art within art.
An allegory, maybe? That nothing is ever truly new?

But Fotografiska isn’t just about bold colors and provocation—it's about contrast. So I paired the surreal bursts of the ToiletPaper exhibit with the timeless black-and-white mystery of classic photography. 🎞️

📸✨ Stockholm – Where Cultures Meet & Light Stays Longer

Walking through the gates of Gamla Stan, down cobbled streets, you feel it—Stockholm’s cultural diversity woven into its history and architecture. A city where old and new live side by side, creating a sense that society is at its peak. 🌍🏰🌆

From dusk ‘til night, Stockholm puts on a show—modern lines and ancient walls glowing under a sky that feels endless. The light here is something else... it bends with the Earth, as if the sun wants to hang around a little longer so we can take just one more shot. 📷☀️

A place that makes every photographer’s heart beat faster.

📸🇸🇪 Stockholm – Where Design Meets Nature

The first time I saw Stockholm from above, I thought: this isn’t a city—it’s a symbiotic settlement, where technology flows with nature, where architecture rises gently from forests, rivers, lakes and the sea 🌲🏙️🌊.

With a history full of triumphs and setbacks, Stockholm shows how much people can accomplish when they work together. It’s not just beautifully designed—it’s thoughtfully lived in.

One of the best ways to experience it? 🛥️ A boat trip through its many islands. I couldn’t stop taking photos of the castles and villas, how they emerge from the trees like they were grown, not built. There’s a kind of elegant simplicity here—calm, balanced, and quietly majestic.

Sweden’s capital doesn’t shout—it whispers stories through stone and water.

📸🇨🇺 Cuba – A Final Frame, For Now

This is the last post in my Cuba photo series—and what a ride it’s been. It took me months to go through the images, not because of the volume, but because Cuba simply refuses to be organized. It’s a country of contrasts, energy, and soul—a living mosaic of stories within stories.

Where else can you spot a shiny electric scooter parked beside a roaring Chevy from the 1950s? 🛵🚗 Or walk from the grandeur of El Capitolio straight into colorful alleyways filled with graffiti, slums, music, and rhythm that never stops?

Cuba is about the people. Like Johnny, who runs a cool, vibrant shop near the whimsical Fusterlandia, where every wall screams art. Or the Santería dancers, dressed like living gods, channeling something ancient on Havana’s sun-soaked streets.

It’s the scent of rum, the beat of drums, the street performers and crumbling walls, the peaceful beaches and laughter that echoes into the night. 🥃🎶🏖️

Cuba is a fairytale with grit. A painting that breathes. A country that stays with you.

Maybe one day, I’ll go back. Until then… this is goodbye.
