Thresher sharks-
Status: endangered

They are known for their long whip-like tail, which they use to stun their prey. They are speed demons and can swim at 22 miles per hour. They also like breaching. They can keep their bodies slightly warmer than ambient temperature, which allows them to hunt in deeper, colder waters than most other sharks. They reproduce very slowly, so they are more vulnerable to fishing.

Nudibranchs are amazing. Giant turtle, massive sardine scholls, jellies/ctenophores, crabs, amazing ghost pipefish, loads of vibrant eels, and so much more. Day 1 complete.

Such an angel face. Love this little guy. We watched this cinnamon cub and his black sibling foraging with their mama right next to us for about 15 minutes. It was a highlight of our Yellowstone trip this year.
