He was born in Zambia to Australian parents who were working in Lusaka in the early 1970’s. His long and abiding passion for photography began 45 years ago with a plastic camera when as a three-year-old, he set off with his parents on a year-long, 30,000-mile overland jou
rney from London to Nepal and back. Complimenting his youthful adventures, Dom won the prestigious Yellowglen Australian Young Photographer of the Year award in 2001 for a series of photographs taken on the banks of the Ganges River at Varanasi in India. Dom has had exhibitions in the USA, Germany, Tanzania and Australia and his work adorns the interiors of a number of high-end lodges and camps in Tanzania and Kenya. In 2006, Dom opened Zoom Photo Gallery in Arusha – Tanzania’s first dedicated photo gallery, where he offers original, limited edition prints, collages, and panoramas, selected from images captured on safaris and journeys all over the world.
