An evening near Bata Chowk, Madhubani (Bihar).
I was amazed by the calmness of calves seating together at the trisection. The red flags, light from the high pole, motorcycle and the fruit vendors added magic to the sight. Further, the smoke coming from the road side food stall made the background look alive.
A fascinating fact is that although Bata is a Czech-founded company, it has become so integrated into Indian life that many people consider it an Indian brand. This is because it established one of its first major operations in India in 1932, which grew into a full-fledged township called Batanagar that housed generations of workers and their families. Even now in most major cities across in Bihar you can find Bata Chowk.
