From the Fear of the Depths.. to a World of Silence and Beauty 🌊📸
My journey with water didn’t start like most. In fact, it used to end right at the surface.. As a child, I was terrified of water and wouldn’t even dare submerge my head. Fear consumed me every time I got close to it.
Years passed, and my passion for photography began to grow, leading me to become a professional nature photographer, capturing the grandeur of majestic mountains and endless seas. Driven to see the world from a different angle, I took to the skies with a drone to explore the beauty of Earth from above.
Yet, one question kept echoing in my mind: What lies beneath this blue surface?
Curiosity turned into a challenge, and the challenge transformed into passion. I decided to face my old fear head-on and dive right in. My journey began with the global CMAS organization: One Star, Two Stars, Three Stars.. Followed by a series of specialized certifications in Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation, First Aid, and Professional Underwater Photography. Through two years of intense dedication, I became a professional diver and photographer.
Then came the defining milestone.. Kaş, Antalya - Turkey.
During exploratory expeditions around its breathtaking islands, I descended into depths where sunlight barely reaches. Down there, surrounded by absolute stillness and magical silence, far away from the noise of the world, I discovered the most captivating sights one could ever behold.
This image represents my very first professional underwater capture. It’s not just a photograph—it’s a story of triumph over fear and a passion that knows no bounds.
I hope you can feel the serenity and wonder I experienced the moment I captured it. 💙

Sunspots

Sunspots are dark areas that appear on the surface of the Sun and are considered one of the most well-known astronomical phenomena throughout history. These spots appear darker because they are relatively cooler regions compared to the surrounding surface, caused by strong magnetic activity that limits the flow of heat outward.

Sunspots are not permanent; they can last from a few days to several months before disappearing. They are part of active regions on the Sun and are often associated with powerful events such as solar flares and massive coronal mass ejections.

Scientists use sunspots as a key indicator of solar activity, as their number increases and decreases in a natural cycle that lasts about 11 years, known as the solar cycle. During periods of high activity (Solar Maximum), many sunspots appear, while fewer are seen during quiet phases (Solar Minimum). Tracking sunspots helps scientists better understand solar behavior and space weather.

Despite appearing small in images, some sunspots can be larger than the Earth itself, highlighting the immense scale and power of our Sun.
