The Travertines of Pamukkale ("cotton castle" in Turkish) is a wonder of nature. Its beautiful white terraces make us feel like we are on a walk in the clouds or on a great snow mountain and yet enjoy a mild climate most of the year.

Mardin is found on the mythical Silk Road or the Caravan Route. The commercial caravans had no choice but to stop there before continuing their journey. For centuries Western merchants and travelers with their mounts and their pack animals, weapons, trunks and sacks visited this stopover point.

Göreme is a town in Cappadocia. Settlements in the area began in the 3rd and 4th centuries, when Christians from the Roman period founded several monasteries. Like most of the constructions in Cappadocia, these were not buildings, but sites carved out of the rock, in the form of artificial caves. There are still remains of monuments, chapels, bedrooms, warehouses and churches, many of them decorated with frescoes from the 11th and 12th centuries.
