📸 THEME: Hand in Hand; A Culture of Solidarity

Solidarity is one of the strongest bonds that unite humanity.
Organized jointly by Göztepe Rotary Club and IFOD (Izmir Photography Art Association), the 12th International Photography Competition aims to make the culture of sharing, cooperation, and common good visible through the universal language of photography.

Inspired by Peace and Tolerance, one of Rotary International’s seven areas of focus, the competition invites participants to build bridges of friendship that transcend borders through stories from different geographies.

This is a call to
multiply hope,
inspire one another,
and walk toward the future hand in hand.

Dayanışma, insanlığı bir arada tutan en güçlü bağlardan biridir.
Göztepe Rotary Kulübü ve İFOD’un ortak organizasyonuyla düzenlenen 12. Uluslararası Fotoğraf Yarışması, paylaşmanın, yardımlaşmanın ve ortak iyiliğin gücünü fotoğrafın evrensel diliyle görünür kılmayı amaçlıyor.

Uluslararası Rotary’nin yedi öncelikli alanından biri olan barış ve hoşgörü ilkesinden ilham alan yarışma; farklı coğrafyalardan gelen hikâyelerle sınırları aşan dostluk köprüleri kurmaya davet ediyor.

Drawing Attention to Global Issues Through Photography: An International Photography Contest by Göztepe Rotary Club

Organized by the Göztepe Rotary Club of İzmir in collaboration with the İzmir Association of Photographic Arts (İFOD), the International Photography Contest aims to draw attention to global issues through the universal language of art. Approved by the Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey (TFSF) and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), the contest is open to photographers from all around the world.

Held annually without interruption for eleven years, the contest has been recognized by TFSF as a sustainable project and, with stars awarded every five editions, is considered among the most prestigious competitions in the field.

Guided by Rotary International’s seven areas of focus, Göztepe Rotary Club uses the powerful visual language of photography to highlight global challenges. The contest seeks to foster a meaningful connection with viewers through diverse works submitted from different cultures and geographies.

To date, nearly 5,000 photographers from around 70 countries have participated with close to 20,000 entries. Award-winning and exhibited photographs are showcased through various exhibitions and presentations, creating strong public awareness around the selected themes.
