Dear 2022.
What a weird and wonderful adventure you turned out to be.
To think where I was one year ago, to where Iāve been, to where I am now, itās a trip.
Physically, sure Iāve travelled and immersed myself in challenging environments, but the way Iāve changed mentally is a whole new ball game.
Physically,
I lived in a Hindu yoga commune for 6 months learning how to manage my thoughts and emotions better, and connect with my true values.
Physically, I moved to Bali for 6 months alone with no connections and managed to thrive. I almost didnāt come home.
But mentallyā¦
I spent a year marinating in uncertainty and going with the flow.
I spent the year fully self employed, exploring self sufficiency on a new level.
I rediscovered my work ethic and passion for life, that had died slowly from my last comfortable job.
I developed a healthy sense of self, moving away from deeply entrenched codependent tendencies.
I found comfort in my own personal friendship with self and faced loneliness in the face.
I learnt new skills, completing a UX design course and explored videography.
I realised I needed to make changes to my tutoring business and took action quickly to move toward a future that inspires me.
But most of all, I created incredible meaningful friendships around the world and interstate, finding communities of people who feel like home.
Thank you 2022 for shaking me to the core and reminding me how incredible life really is.
There are so many thing I still yearn for, I still have insecurities, I still donāt know WHAT THE F*CK Iām doing, but IM GRATEFUL.
Little childhood Frey would be proud.
Thanks to yāall who have loved me through it all, the old and new, youāre amazing.
And to 2023, Iām so excited to indulge in every moment. Canāt wait to meet you.
