Pünktlich zur Wiesn freuen sich meine Freunde und Kollegen vom sowie ich sehr, euch unser zweites Magazin vorstellen zu dürfen! Da wir im Laufe der Jahre von 2017 bis 2023 eine Fülle großartiger Bilder gesammelt haben, sind daraus sogar sieben Ausgaben entstanden.

Dieses besondere Ereignis möchten wir gebührend feiern – und laden euch herzlich zu unserer Release Party ein! Wir haben das Vergnügen, die neuen Räumlichkeiten unserer Freunde von dafür nutzen zu dürfen.

Happy new year [chúc mừng năm mới] 🐉🎆🥳🎉🍾🇻🇳⛩️🐲

The Vietnamese Tet festival, also known as the New Year festival Tet Nguyen Dan [Tết Nguyên Đán], is the most important and most widely celebrated festival in Vietnamese culture. It marks the beginning of the new year according to the lunar calendar and usually takes place between the end of January and mid-February. The celebrations take place over several days and are characterised by a variety of traditions, including cleaning and decorating houses, preparing and sharing traditional dishes such as sticky rice ... and many other delicacies and setting off firecrackers.

During the Tet festival, families come together to eat, pray and honour the ancestors. It is also the time when congratulations and red envelopes with (lucky-)money are exchanged as a symbol of luck and prosperity in the new year. In addition to the family celebrations, there are public events such as parades, traditional dances and musical performances that emphasise the cultural diversity and festive atmosphere of the Tet festival.
