ในเขตเทศบาลเมืองดอนสักยังมีเกาะเล็ก ๆ แห่งหนึ่งชื่อว่า “เกาะแรต” และเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวชุมชนโอทอปนวัตวิถี อยู่ห่าง
จากฝั่งเพียง 500 เมตร ชาวเกาะแรตมีอาชีพประมงและมีเชื้อสายจีนไหหลำจึงเต็มไปด้วยเสน่ห์ของวัฒนธรรมไทย - จีนที่ผสมผสาน
อย่างลงตัว บนเกาะมีทางเดินคอนกรีตโดยรอบ ผู้สูงอายุสามารถเดินชมวิถีชีวิตได้สะดวก ที่ท้ายเกาะมีศาลาชมพระอาทิตย์ตกดินและชมโลมาสีชมพูทีมักจะโผล่ขึ้นมาเล่นน้ำเป็นฝูงใหญ่ หากต้องการชมวิถีชีวิตชาวเลอย่างใกล้ชิดก็สามารถเช่าเรือหางยาวของชาวบ้านไปชมทิวทัศน์รอบอ่าวดอนสักและชมโลมาสีชมพู จากนั้นเข้าพักในโฮมสเตย์ซึ่งมีบริการหลายแห่งโดยมีอาหารทะเลสดบริการมื้อเย็น ที่ไม่ควรพลาดคือ “ปูม้าดอนสัก” ที่ได้ชื่อว่าอร่อยที่สุดในประเทศไทย สอบถามรายละเอียดที่ชุมชนโอทอป นวัตวิถี

At Don Sak city area, there is a small island called Koh Rat, a tourism destination that features an innovative
OTOP lifestyle. The locals on Koh Rat are fishermen with Hainanese ancestry, thus, the community has developed
a harmonious Thai-Chinese culture. A concrete walkway is constructed on the island on which elders can stroll around
to experience the fishermen’s lifestyle. At the back of the island, there is a pavilion where tourists can watch the sunset
and the pink dolphins that would often be swimming nearby. For visitors who want to experience more of Koh Rat, long-tail boats are available to take them on sightseeing tours of Don Sak Bay. To stay overnight, try the homestays on the island where dinner would likely include fresh seafood. A local delicacy is the “Don Sak Horse Crab” that has been called one of the most delicious horse crabs in Thailand !
