Creating Photo Backdrop

Last week I persuaded my brother to come to Phuket and make me some photographic backdrop for my portrait work.
We bought a roll of primed canvas and acrylic house paint. My brother first applied paint using a roller. Then he created some textures using dry brush. It was quickly done and quite beautiful. I now have blue/grey, brick, white with blue/red speckles backdrops to play with.
All I need now is some hanging mechanism and a willing model! Anyone?

Amy Winehouse-inspired Shoot

At last Sunday photo session, Jai (the model) and I decided we would do an Amy Winehouse-inspired theme shoot. So Jai came with hair scrunched up. We went to Central for a make-up at one of the cosmetic counters as I don’t know any make-up artist.
The result what not quite what we had in mind, but we are reasonably happy. It was a good exercise as we already know what we want to do next time. Stay tuned.

Swiss Artist in Chalong

Bubu is a Swiss artist who lives and works in Phuket. He has a gallery/shop in Chalong near Wine Connection. He has graciously allowed me to take his pictures in the gallery. You will agree that there can’t be a more colourful backdrop.
