The Seven Year Itch of Anti Government in Thailand.
The seven-year itch is a popular belief, sometimes quoted as having psychological backing, that happiness in a marriage or long-term romantic relationship declines after around seven years.
The phrase has since expanded to indicate cycles of dissatisfaction not only in interpersonal relationships, but in any situation such as the mutual relationship of people in the country such as have to endure the terrible government, the problems of corruption, the government is inefficiency in curbing the spread of the coronavirus and the poor administration of the government.
The idea of itching for seven years is a phenomenon in the relationship of married couples or couples that have been shown to have an increased risk of divorce after seven years. which this concept was used by the artist to compare it to the period of the military government's occupation by General Prayut Chan-o-cha, which has caused public outrage for seven years (2014-2021) the seven years of poor governance, some of the people who loved and admired this government's had backed out and join the protest with the pro-democracy groups. This is the concept of this exhibition "The Seven Year Itch of Anti Government in Thailand" is a documentary series of photos from the situation of the protest against the government by a group of photographers and a new generation of photojournalists in thailand.

The Seven Year Itch เป็นชุดความเชื่อที่ได้รับความนิยม ซึ่งบางครั้งอ้างได้ว่าเป็นความรู้สึกทางความคิดและจิตใจว่าความสุขในการแต่งงานหรือความสัมพันธ์ที่โรแมนติกของคู่รักในระยะยาวจะลดลงหลังจากผ่านไปประมาณเจ็ดปี.
วลีนี้ได้ขยายออกไปเพื่อบ่งบอกถึงวงจรของความไม่พอใจ ไม่เพียงแต่ในความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคล แต่สามารถใช้กับสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ เช่น ความสัมพันธ์ร่วมกันของผู้คนกับผู้นำประเทศ ที่ผู้คนต้องทนกับรัฐบาลที่เลวร้าย ปัญหาการทุจริตของรัฐบาล รัฐบาลไม่มีประสิทธิภาพในการควบคุมการระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโควิด -19 และการบริหารงานที่ย่ำแย่ของรัฐบาลชุดนี้.
The Seven Year Itch เป็นปรากฏการณ์ในความสัมพันธ์ของคู่รัก หรือคู่สมรสที่แสดงให้เห็นว่ามีความเสี่ยงที่จะเลิกราหรือหย่าร้างเพิ่มขึ้นหลังจากเจ็ดปี ซึ่งศิลปินได้นำแนวคิดนี้ไปเปรียบเทียบกับความสัมพันธ์ของประชาชนกับรัฐบาล ซึ่งเริ่มตั้งแต่ช่วงที่ทหารเข้ามารัฐประหารและยึดอำนาจ (2557)โดย พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา ที่เข้ามาบริหารประเทศ และได้ให้สัญญาว่าจะใช้เวลาไม่นานในการคืนความสุขแก่ประชาชน ซึ่งเลยผ่านมาถึงปีที่ 8 (ปัจจุบัน 2565) หากนับย้อนหลังไปรัฐบาลของ พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา ได้สร้างความขุ่นเคืองแก่ประชาชนมาเป็นเวลาเจ็ดปี (พ.ศ. 2557-2564) เป็นเจ็ดปีแห่งการปกครองที่ย่ำแย่ บางคนที่เคยรักและชื่นชมรัฐบาลชุดนี้ ต่างก็เปลี่ยนขั้วทางการเมือง และเลิกรักเลิกศรัทธาในตัวพลเอกประยุทธ์ และบางคนที่ย้ายข้างทางการเมืองก็ออกมาเข้าร่วมการประท้วงกับกลุ่มเด็กรุ่นใหม่ที่สนับสนุนประชาธิปไตย แนวคิดนี้จึงเป็นที่มาของนิทรรศการ “The Seven Year Itch of Anti Goverment in Thailand “ที่รวบรวมงานภาพถ่ายจากสถานการณ์การประท้วงต่อต้านรัฐบาล จากกลุ่มช่างภาพรุ่นใหม่ๆ ที่ทำงานในสื่อสังกัดต่างๆ และช่างภาพอิสระในประเทศไทยที่บันทึกเหตุการณ์ไว้.
