• Celestial Attire in Lanna Belief •
ในความเชื่อล้านนา ‘เครื่องทรง’ ของเทวดามักประดับด้วยลวดลายเงินหรือแก้วสะท้อนแสง เปรียบเสมือนรัศมีแห่งบุญ (บารมี) ที่สั่งสมมา ชฎาทรงสูงสื่อถึงฐานะอันสูงส่งบนสวรรค์ ขณะที่เครื่องประดับอกและเอวถูกออกแบบให้คล้ายเกราะศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เชื่อว่าช่วยปกป้องผู้สวมใส่จากพลังอัปมงคล ผ้านุ่ง และการทิ้งชายผ้าอย่างอ่อนช้อย ยังสะท้อนอิทธิพลศิลปะการแต่งกายของโบราณ ที่ผสานทั้งความอ่อนโยนและความขลังไว้ในหนึ่งเดียว
ดังนั้น ทุกองค์ประกอบบนกายไม่ใช่แค่เพียงศิลปะ แต่คือ ‘ภาษาของความศรัทธา’ ที่เล่าถึงการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างมนุษย์กับสวรรค์

In Lanna tradition, the attire of celestial beings is often adorned with silver or crystal-like patterns that reflect light—symbolizing the radiant aura of accumulated barami (spiritual merit). The tall, ornate crown signifies a high rank in the heavenly realm, while the chest and waist ornaments are designed to resemble sacred armor, believed to protect the wearer from negative forces. The draped lower garment, along with its soft and graceful flow, reflects the influence of ancient Northern Thai costume aesthetics—where gentleness and mysticism are seamlessly intertwined.
Thus, every element worn upon the body is not merely decorative, but a ‘language of faith’—expressing the connection between the human world and the divine.
