แนวความคิด : "หมอช้าง" โรงพยาบาลช้าง จ.ลำปางมีหน้าที่ในการดูแลทางการแพทย์แก่ช้างที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บและป่วยโดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายในทุกกรณี ปัจจุบันมีช้างที่เข้ารับการรักษาอยู่ประมาณ 20 เชือกจากหลายจังหวัดทั่วประเทศโดยอาการเจ็บป่วยของช้างเกิดจากหลายสาเหตุ เช่น ระบบทางเดินอาหาร บาดเจ็บที่ดวงตา บาดเจ็บที่ขา หรือการติดเชื้อที่บาดแผลที่เกิดจากการดูแลอย่างไม่เหมาะสม มีบางเคสที่จำเป็นที่จะต้องให้ยา หรือน้ำเกลืออย่างต่อเนื่อง เนื่องจากช้างเป็นสัตว์ใหญ่จึงต้องให้น้ำเกลือในปริมาณมาก ต้องมีการจัดเวรสัตวแพทย์ที่ต้องมาดูแล นอกจากนี้ยังมีการออกหน่วยสัตวแพทย์สัญจร รักษานอกสถานที่กรณีที่มีการรับแจ้งเหตุในพื้นที่ห่างไกล ผลงานภาพถ่ายชุดนี้เป็นการถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของกลุ่มคนที่อุทิศตนเพื่อดูแลรักษาช้าง ด้วยความรัก และความหวังที่ต้องการให้ช้างไทยมีสุขภาพที่สมบูรณ์แข็งแรง มีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี และอยู่คู่แผ่นดินไทยต่อไป
The Elephant Hospital has medical professionals caring for the wounded and ill elephants, free of charge. There are currently about 20 elephants from all across the country in their care with various conditions surrounding the digestive tract, eyes, legs, and other infected wounds from lack of proper care. Some cases are under constant medical treatment, to the point that the veterinarians are rotating shifts. In addition, traveling medical units are dispatched to care for cases that are located far away from the hospital. This project aims to tell the story of a group of people who selflessly sacrifice their time and energy to help these Thai elephants with love and the hope that they continue to live long and healthier lives.
