When I was a kid under the age of 10 my brother-in-law had a 1964 Packard Caribbean convertible.
So that was about 1964, and everywhere we went at the top down he would get offers.
My brother-in-law was born in Sweden, and his name was Leif Eriksson, and he married my sister Marilyn.
He was an interesting guy, but he didn’t have a lot of Mojo as far as being a forward thinker.
The rear axle busted on this car, and he let it sit in the garage of his house for a number of years until my sister made him put it out in the backyard under a tarp
It sat in that backyard for at least 15 years, and I would look at it every Christmas buried in the snow
The ferrell cats found a home to have litters within it, along with mice and squirrels.
By the time he got rid of it the rear quarter panels over the rear tire tires were rusted as much of the undercarriage.
Before that, while it was in the garage was in cherry shaped.
I wish I even had the foresight, the find a garage for it, and just pay the fee, until I was old enough to restore it
As again all it was was a rear axle replacement that snapped.
It was a beautiful, two tone blue/white 1954 Packard Caribbean convertible, that had interior lights all over the inside.
It was very cool and a good memory.
