Today, Sir David Attenborough turns 100 years old 🫶🏻

A man who deserves another century.

As a teenager, I (Bo) was fascinated by films and documentaries about travel and exploration. I wanted to go everywhere and have the most crazy experiences.

But over time, I realized something important:

Experiences alone don’t create fulfillment.

You can collect moments endlessly and still feel empty inside.

What truly stays with us is understanding. Understanding people. Understanding nature. Understanding how the world works.

That’s why David Attenborough’s work has always been so powerful to me.

In the way he showed the planet to us, he made people feel connected to it.

His storytelling created awareness, understanding, and ultimately impact.

“No one will protect what they don’t care about. And no one will care about what they have never experienced.”

And maybe that’s the most important lesson of all: People protect what they understand. And they understand what they can feel.

Expected to just travel through Sri Lanka…..

Got welcomed instead.

Every moment we experienced turned into a warm memory because of the people.

What started as renting a scooter turned into a fresh coconut from their garden, sharing stories, and an invitation to the temple on Poya Day. Together we prepared offerings, prayed, and experienced their culture from a place of pure kindness.

That’s how Sri Lanka feels: Inviting, warm, and genuine.

How we handled a cyclone on the forecast.

During the shoot, there were heavy rains and clouds almost every day.

So what to do?
Adapt.

Shoot at sunrise.
Using the hours we had.
Working in-between weather windows.
And after the shoot, we went back out again to capture a sunset shot for the final delivery.

As an outdoor production company, you don’t control the conditions.
You work with them.

Experience matters in moments like this.

Knowing when to wait, when to move, and how to turn tough weather into images that speak, and invite people to book the journey themselves.

Every change starts with a first step…

𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻🚲

Our time with last summer was all about focus.

We were camping ourselves, working late into the night and waking up early at sunrise. After shooting for two days, we edited on location the day after, handing over our edits immediately.

Even though the shoot was fast-paced, our energy as a team never dropped.

On the second day, something intense and challenging happened (a moment we’ll share more about soon). Afterwards, we looked at each other and made a choice: not to let it hold us back. Instead, we turned it into fuel. Transforming that moment into momentum and creativity.

A team, full of drive and a shared passion for creating, that’s what pushes a project forward.

I still remember the first time I heard the story of Jane Goodall. She showed the world that science could coexist with patience, empathy and respect for all living beings. She listened to them, learned from them, and in doing so, reminded us of how deeply we are all connected. Her work is a reminder that, with compassion and persistence, we can truly change human behavior towards the planet we share.

You were such an inspiration for us all 💚🙏🏻
