My work📸 at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Thailand for King’s Day (Koningsdag), the Orange Festival — a moment of community and connection, where people from different backgrounds share a sense of identity in a relaxed and joyful spirit, with Ambassador Remco van Wijngaarden, his husband Carter Duong, and their children.

In the Huai Khwang community in Bangkok — a working- and middle-class neighborhood shaped by migration and constant movement — the celebration transforms the streets into a shared space of joy and connection across generations, backgrounds, and cultures.

Songkran marks the Thai New Year — a time of cleansing, renewal, and respect, where water is used to wash away bad luck and welcome a fresh start.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐤 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Under the theme “Re-Member,” the event invites reflection on how we live, how we prepare for death, and how we support those we love.

Through immersive spaces, rituals, and quiet moments, visitors are encouraged to face what is often avoided — aging, illness, and the end of life.

Inspired by Buddhist perspectives, the experience becomes less about death itself and more about what it means to live fully.

𝗠𝘆 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 Architectural Digest Magazine, New York.

The abandoned Galaxy “Ghost Ship” Hotel on Koh Chang, Thailand — once envisioned as a luxury floating resort — stood for years as a surreal architectural relic slowly reclaimed by nature.

Built in the early 2000s and left to decay for nearly two decades, the ship became one of Thailand’s most unusual abandoned structures before a fire in 2024 led to its final dismantling.

A story of ambition, abandonment, and the passage of time.

My work📸 published in the Dutch national newspaper Trouw, telling the story of Saengduean Lek Chailert, known as Thailand’s “Elephant Mother,” who rescued 200 abused animals to restore their dignity at Elephant Nature Park.
