Disclaimer: what you spend in a country really depends on your travel style and spending habits.

I would consider us mid-range travelers, and to give you an idea of what that means to me:

▪️We don’t stay in hostels and usually go for spacious rooms with a working desk (and I’m a sucker for a good view, so I occasionally splurged on that one 🏞️)
▪️We ate a lot of street food and at local restaurants, but we also went out for brunch almost every day and had cocktails around twice a week (always during happy hour, because that’s twice as good 😜)
▪️We took domestic flights for the longer distances, but you can definitely bring your costs down by taking night buses instead 🚌

Life by the Loboc River 🌿

This was one of my favorite places we visited in Bohol. Paddling through the river completely alone, surrounded only by jungle was a magical experience. As you make your way down the river, you get a glimpse into local life. Kids playing, horses by the water and people going about their day completely unrushed. Almost like if time had a different meaning here ✨

TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT ⬇️

▪️Avoid midday if you want a more peaceful experience, as restaurant boats pass through the river around lunchtime
▪️You can rent a paddle board, kayak, or traditional banca
▪️Don’t underestimate the current, it can take you further than you think
▪️There are several rental places, but I’d recommend Loboc River Resort as they’re located on one of the quietest and most beautiful parts of the river
▪️If you have extra time, stay overnight in one of the riverside hotels
▪️You can easily combine your visit with the Chocolate Hills and a Tarsier Sanctuary
