افتح الدرج…!

ضمن رحلتي للبحث عن هويتي وهوية المكان اللي عايش فيه عن طريق التصوير، تذكرت حديث مع اميرة الانثروبولوجي
عن ورشة انعملت بمصر بتحكي عن تحليل العائلة المصرية عن طريق الصور القديمة، وهالشي ضل ببالي وخصوصا بالمرحلة الأخيرة اللي عم حس فيها انو عايش حياة سريعة كتير، معدومة الحرية، وعم احرق مراحل بسرعة ضمن أي شي عم اعملو

قررت إني بكل زيارة ع طرطوس افتح درج الصور القديمة وصور جزء من هالصور وشاركن لاني بحاجة لحتى ارجع كون ابطأ، بحاجة أتذكر كيف الناس كانوا عايشين قبل الحرب ومبسوطين، وكيف تفاعلن مع الكاميرا ومع بعض سواء داخليا او بالشارع
بدون اي تعقيد او خوف

افتح الدرج هيي مبادرة بسيطة لحتى كل حدا سواء مصور او لا انو يفتح هالدرج ويورجينا شغلات حلوة

الصور اغلبن هنن صور ابي وامي بفترة الخطوبة بمراحل متفرقة بين 1980-1985

Connect with People at Damascus 2020

Since the beginning of curfew in Syria throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic, my daily activities became house limited and only in the range of 2km, going downtown itself has become a big deal for me.
My routine exceeded the limits of normality and became obsessive, and that is due to all the overthinking
Recently, a lot of questions came up to me about how the post-pandemic life would be particularly after two months of social distancing, which kept me apart from any sort of normal social communication
Accompanied with the fear of unknow future and not only in Syria rather in the whole world.
As a Syrian storyteller, most of my photos were taken stealthily because it is not easy to pick up your camera on streets especially after governmental release of the last act prohibiting street photography without licenses.

All these factors lead me to photograph the people at streets but this time in another perspective and closer than before and I meant
As a result, to all these factors, my intention to photograph people got stronger, and now I focused on taking those pictures from different and closer perspectives, illustrating the people’s emotional reactions.
