Through my lens, I’ve traveled to remote villages, busy towns, and communities I may never have encountered otherwise. From documenting powerful stories in different parts of South Sudan and beyond to capturing everyday resilience and hope. Photography has opened doors, built connections, and allowed me to view life from angles I deeply value.

Every journey allowed me to document real human experiences, amplify unheard voices, and grow both personally and professionally.

Filming portrait content is powerful today because it meets people where they are right in their hands.

It also feels personal, immediate, and human. In the social media world of endless scrolling, vertical videos are important because they look and sound like real life. The character faces fill the frame and stories feel closer.

Last year, I collaborated with Talent Initiative for Development (TIDE) to produce this powerful documentary, filmed in Mangalla, South Sudan. The film amplifies the voices of displaced people from Jonglei State who were forced to flee devastating floods that severely threatened their food security . It also highlights the creative and artistic activities provided to children by TIDE.
