[..] We ended up staying for a day in the dusty city of Kaolack, in central Senegal. I had read somewhere that you could find nice crafts here, and for decent price, not like in the big cities where you get easily ripped off for cheap knockoff goods. Luckily, after some sweaty strolls under the inclement sun, we not only found the crafts, but also the refreshing welcome of Ndeye, in her shop. She runs the shop and has a trainee there, but her husband and children lives far away, in the Casamance.
Second picture has her posing in front of one of her patch wonderwalls :)

Being guided by mighty Mount Urusvati through the Kazakh Altai, walking up the White Berel river basin, was such a privilege.
I’m going to remember that dented silhouette for a while.
