From scientific data to Venice Film Festival

Our experience has been nominated as one of just 30 projects In Competition at , presenting a selection of the world’s leading immersive works.

Being part of Starstruck from the very beginning, and now seeing it recognized at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, is an incredibly proud moment for our entire team.

Built using data from the and , Starstruck transforms iconic observations of the universe into immersive, walkable environments and allows visitors to explore the cosmos at an entirely new scale.

This project represents exactly what we are passionate about at Overhead4D: combining science, technology, creativity, and immersive storytelling to turn complex data into unforgettable digital experiences.

Our immersive space experience, "Smithsonian Starstruck", was successfully launched two weeks ago in Washington, DC.

More than 100 synchronized visitors can watch a 40-minute experience about space, visiting some of the most unique telescopes and places millions of light years away from Earth.

The result was created in collaboration with astrophysicists and scientists who have been studying space for decades.

We have learned a lot, and if you are interested in space, you definitely have to see it. Its not a fiction, its a science.

16 square kilometres, almost 1,000 metres of elevation difference, and 80,000 photographs made this project very unique also for us.

This detailed 3D scan of Austria’s “Iron Giant,” the Erzberg, was created to support the planning and presentation of the 30th edition of the Erzbergrodeo, the world’s most renowned extreme enduro race.

Bringing digital heritage to the audience is at the core of what we do.

And it’s not only about creating a perfect 3D scan or a visually appealing historical reconstruction. To make it work, you also need a solid, stable application and a reliable back-end system behind it, an invisible but essential part of every project we deliver.

Here’s a sneak peek from the installation of our LBE VR system in Washington, DC, designed to synchronize 100+ people at the same time.

The result?
A nearly 500 m² free-roam VR experience, allowing visitors to explore Machu Picchu as it was in the 16th century.

Do you know how Machu Picchu looked in the 15th century, when the Incas lived there?

The reconstruction of the houses was based on historical research and built directly on top of accurate models created in RealityScanRealityScan.

But the reconstruction didn’t focus only on the architecture, it also aimed to capture the daily activities and life of the people who once lived there.
