I love infrared. I'm getting too old to get up at 1 am, just to be at the location at sunrise, and touristy places are heaving with tourists. On this day it was children as it was international kids day, and this celebration has a long and strong standing tradition. You will find kids everywhere on this day, except in schools.

For infrared midday scorchio is perfect and people just disappear. Well the moving ones.

I have come across this amazing photo on Flickr. I'm still a sucker for breathtaking landscapes and sunsets/sunrises. I instantly pat myself on the back when I thought the foreground rock looked like Turtle. Once I zoomed it I realised it was a turtle (so much for having "The Eye" huh) If you can please give the photo some love. It has barely any views and comments.

Feeling super inspired and fired up, I could not decide which photo to process and wasn't bothered which one. So I played a bit of a . The photo below has come up and the little voice in the head started nagging: "hey, you should have picked the whole body one." But as facebook and nudity do not mix, I'm glad the safer one has come up ;-)

It finally arrived! Lunar eclipse that we were able to see from the beginning, through the climax right to the end here in the United Kingdom.

Anyone who lives near Swindon, and followed the weather forecast knows, that we were not meant to have clear skies from about 2am. But miracles do happen, and we did have clear skies all the way.

Thanks to the modern media, there were tons of cars pulling over all over the place and admiring this twice- thrice in a lifetime show. (unless you are rich and can afford to fly around the world)

I was annoyed with myself, as I forgot my converter at home so the biggest focal lengh I had on me was 200mm. I was forced to abandon my original creative plan and had to improvise. Then I thought "lots of people will shoot as close as they can, but how many will go open wide and do a family photo of all the amazing sights in the night sky?" ( if there are any I do not want to know) So I shot it with my fisheye ;-)

Also this was a supermoon. This was about fourth supermoon this year. I do not want to start mass hysteria, but anyone else gets the feeling that maybe moon is on the way to collide with Earth?

When you have loads of things to do and you don't know which to do first, do what makes you happy :-)

Beauty retouch by me. It is not perfect, I still have a lot to learn, but if I was to wait and show things that are perfect I would probably never show anything.
