Nina Mucalov Photography I'm Nina, a personal brand and family photographer based in Singapore. I create bright, natural images that tell your story.

What you wear to your brand photoshoot isn’t random… it’s strategy.

I’m kicking off a series on what to wear for your brand photoshoot, starting with three brilliant female entrepreneurs:
👗 Sera Murphy — personal stylist
🎤 Dr Sarah Whyte — keynote speaker
🧵 Arzelle — sewing & design coach

Three different businesses. Three completely different looks.

Because your outfit isn’t just clothing, it’s a visual cue that tells your audience exactly who you are and what you stand for before you’ve said a word.

When you get it right, your brand photos do more than look good. They connect. They convert. They position you exactly where you need to be.

Save this for your next shoot 📌 and share it with a friend who needs to see it.

Part 2 coming soon...

One of my favourite parts of my job is photographing brilliant women as their businesses evolve, and I’ve had the joy of doing that with Sera Murphy The Reoutfitter ™ for the past few years.

Early in June, we spent a morning exploring some of Singapore’s best shopping spots... neighbourhood boutiques, hidden vintage gems, and everything in between, building a library of images that complement her work as a personal stylist.
The stores we visited include Shuffling Suitcases Singapore The Fashion Pulpit DORS at Design Orchard The Née Vintage Store , Good Addition and r y e in New Bahru 🛍️

Just over a month later, those photos appeared in Condé Nast Traveller Condé Nast Traveller India, alongside Sera’s shopping guide to Singapore 🤍

Adrian and I have read Condé Nast Traveller for well over a decade, so seeing my own work in its pages was a genuine pinch-me moment.

Congratulations, Sera 💛 Thank you for trusting me to tell your story year after year, I can’t wait to see where your business takes you next.

If you freeze up the second a camera points at you, this one’s for you.

Three small tweaks I share with every client mid-shoot, and they work every single time:

1. Lean slightly forward
It sounds counterintuitive, but leaning just a little toward the camera makes you look more engaged and it’s more flattering.

2. Straighten your head
We all do it… the second a lens points our way, the head tilts. (I’m guilty of this too!) Keep your head straight and level. It’s a small shift that makes a big difference.

3. Fake laugh
I know. It sounds ridiculous. But I promise you, it works. A fake laugh almost always turns into a real smile, and that’s when the magic happens.

📌 Save this for your next shoot.

The best compliments I receive often have nothing to do with the photos💕

One of my favourite parts of this job is helping people see themselves differently.

A huge thank you to the lovely Angel Angel Kilian | Career Growth Strategist for inviting me to photograph her community. It was a joy meeting so many incredible (& beautiful!) women.

If people leave a shoot feeling more confident, more seen, and thinking, “That was actually fun!” …then I know I’ve done my job.

The photos are the lasting reminder.

But how you feel in the moment?

That’s the part I’ll never stop caring about.

Thank you, Angel, for your beautiful words. They mean the world. 💛

Lately I’ve realised how much joy comes from the tiny things I come back to again and again 🌼

☕ One beautiful coffee
💗 A journal full of gratitude (and probably far too many pink hearts😅)
🧩 Puzzles (I recently completed a gorgeous one by Yeni Lim B. )
🎹 Ten minutes at the piano
✏️ Imperfect little sketches
📚 Reading with Brady
💐 Friday flowers

None of them are life-changing on their own.

But together they’ve made this season feel calmer, more creative and more me.

I’d love to know…

What’s one tiny ritual you almost never skip?

Things I’ve loved in 2026 so far (& one thing I’d like less of 🙈)

As I look back over the first half of this year, a few themes kept coming up of things I’ve loved…
💛 Time with Adrian (just the two of us)
📚 Books (always!)
🎨 Creative time with my sister
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Swimming together as a family.
🎤 Opportunities to speak and share ideas that matter to me
📷 Photographing incredible women building businesses they love
❤️ Time with family and friends visiting Singapore

And one thing I’d happily leave behind…

Those 3am wake-ups where my brain decides it’s the perfect time to try solve problems that don’t actually have a solution. 😅

I’d love to know... what’s one thing you’d love more of in H2? (or something you’d like to leave behind💛)

I’d love to hear!
