Hayley Durack Photography I’m an Australian photographer living in Singapore. I'm a people person & that's who I 🧡 to photograph And now Singapore is headquarters. Yes I'm a Photographer.

Experienced Principal Photographer with established clients in USA and Australia. Skilled in portrait photography, art direction, event photography, fashion photography, and underwater photography. Strong entrepreneurship professional with a Graduate Diploma in Production Design (Set & Costume design) from Melbourne University and a Bachelor of the Built Environment (Industrial Design). And now wh

at I really want to say.. What's more I truly adore my job. I travel to wherever the assignment takes me. Currently Singapore is home. I’m Australian born but have spent 8 years working in San Francisco. I've shot commisioned assignments throughout the USA, Italy, Mexico, Zambia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The biggest thrill on any shoot is working with an amazing tapestry of people, customs, cultures and places—and I love every minute of it. From shooting portraits of Hillary Clinton and Mark Zuckerberg to more intimate documentaries about a family or an artist or a story about homelessness, I use the same approach when working with them as I would with you. After all, super star or start-up hero—it’s about the person behind the lens, connecting with the person in front of the lens in that moment, and that’s all that matters. And there the alchemy occurs.

Where to begin, again? A sunrise I watched last week, after walking in the dark to here seemed like a good start. I moved to Singapore six months ago. Emotional saying goodbye to Tokyo. Staying brave to re-set life once more. So many surprises. So much familiar. So many unknowns. But that’s the life I’ve unknowingly signed up for - unpredictable, never dull, always life-changing, forever appreciative. I am lucky.

Have to say I’m a bit scared coming back to social media. Six months off the scroll is a wonderful break. How do I do this again? Not quite sure. But I can say I’m excited to start seeing again with my camera. My eyes are fresh and wide open to the new. I’m likely to be very inconsistent on the socials (that probably hasn’t changed). But! Watch This Space! Because I have some exciting new stuff to shoot, second time round from the Tropics. The sunrise told me that morning, I am lucky to begin, again 🌴

My Copper Queens. Hair worn as crowns. I had the privilege of shooting images for Letitia and girl did we have some fun. Letitia is one of those humans who is a ball of creativity, passion and gentleness rolled into one. She’s a pocket-rocket-size sweetheart and my girls just oooh and ahhh when they have their hair done with Leti. This time it was an all encompassing day shooting for a hair competition Leti is entering in London. Leti also has a hidden talent of writing perfect prose which will accompany the collection of photos (filled with history and emotion and wanderlust for a red head). Watch this space to hear more about the details. 👩🏻‍🦰👩🏻‍🦰👩🏻‍🦰

Need a milestone event covered? I’m your girl. What starts as a leisurely day next to Lake Nojiri for Julia’s 50th, ends with all night dancing and limbo on the disco floor. It’s not a party until the kids are asleep under the table (and maybe some adults too).

Mama and her boys - four of them actually including one big fluff bucket. I have heard the expression “Little girls love their Mum, but little boys are ‘in love’ with their Mum”. For me this references the powerful connection a baby boy has with the first female he ever learns from. He grows up watching how amazing his Mum is; someone who shows them how to be a strong but soft, powerful but not without kindness, love for others but not without respect for self, resiliance but not withtout failure, boundaries but not without sacrifice. This Mum shows her boys all of this.

If you follow me you know that I ADORE dogs. I have always said that after three daughters, “no more babies but more DOGS always”. We live with just one fur baby but in my dreams I’m a farm girl with a crazy amount of dogs and other random pets. I grew up in a household where the normal was always two dogs, a cat, one cow, a turtle or three, birds, mice, and a visiting echidna and possum who roamed the property and paid us daily visits for scraps. I loved them all. Oh and we had a big pet cemetery too, headstones and all - that’s another story (with Stephen King) 😂
