When I first started playing around with AI image generation, fusing the technology's output with my photography creation was just a fun exercise of creative direction and editing.
Fast forward a year later, this type of work is one of the most consistent enquiries from clients. I've always thought the process was too unpredictable and finicky to be used as a legit work flow. But I soon realised my fear came from it being something that I didn't learn from external sources and I could only depend on myself to troubleshoot and experiment.
This visual (tempted to call it phaitography, cos photography + AI ๐คฃ) is one of my latest attempts for client work and it turned out so satisfying. Even after long hours of the AI background/set generation, many back-and-forths discussions, an actual photography shoot, and hours of editing and finesse, I am still very fascinated by this final output.
Quite proud of myself to have created a decent workflow for this type of visuals, and being able to embrace the ever-changing and evolving industry to adapt the tools to push the boundaries of my photography work.
