Happy New Year 2019!

Time to kick start my page with an awesome set of fireworks taken at Marina Bay, Singapore. It was was a spectacular display well worth the 6 hour wait and squeezing through the crowds.

My shots were taken on a Sony A7riii with a 16-35mm GM. Tripod mounted, manual focus (infinity). F11, Live Bulb mode, ISO minimum. Remote shutter. Post processed in Lightroom.

This setup allows me to accurately capture the fireworks as they go off, controlling exactly how many bursts I want included in the long exposure. It also allows me to enjoy the fireworks with my eyes instead of staring at the camera. This year I also went for a portrait orientation to capture the reflections on the water.

Fireworks are always awe inspiring to me due to its complexity and beauty and I definitely look forward to the next one!

Leave me your thoughts and comments!

Also thanks for the company !
