Home is so much more than a roof over our heads or the walls that enclose us. It is woven into the bonds of family, the warmth of lifelong friendships, our neighbourhood streets, and the vibrant communities that shape our everyday lives. It is a shared ecosystem where every single one of us has a voice, a role, and a stake in building the future we want to see.

As marks her 61st year of independence, we reflect on our journey with deep gratitude for the peace and stability we enjoy. Yet, maturity brings deeper reflection. We find ourselves asking crucial questions: What kind of home do we want to leave behind for the generations to come?
The recent conversation surrounding Maju Forest brings this dilemma into sharp focus. From the ground up, we hear the earnest calls to preserve this green sanctuary. Yet, deep in our hearts, we also recognise the realities of national development necessary to sustain Singapore’s growth. We are caught in a vital dialogue—searching for that delicate harmony between safeguarding our natural sanctuary and advancing our urban landscape.

There are no simple answers, and difficult choices lie ahead. But this tension itself is a testament to how deeply we care. This is just one of many chapters in our evolving story—the story of a nation we are proud to call home.

🇸🇬❤️ Happy 61st Birthday, !

Taking fireworks from a HDB heartland not too far away from Kallang Basin/Sports Hub where the National Day Parade 2026 and celebrations were held on 9th August 2026.

Taking fireworks from heartland neighbourhood with Singapore’s downtown cityscape as the background is a new and refreshing experience for my fireworks photography. I hope to explore more different heartland locations for future fireworks at Kallang Basin/Sports Hub!

Shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max, edited using Instagram Edits app. The entire fireworks video showcased at a faster speed.

🇸🇬❤️ Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore!

Today, we celebrate SG61 — 61 years of Singapore’s journey, growth, resilience and the many stories that have shaped our little red dot.

From our diverse cultures and rich heritage to the people, communities and everyday moments that make Singapore home, there is so much to be grateful for. As a photographer and visual storyteller, I feel privileged to document and preserve some of these moments through my lens. 📸

Our journey continues, and so do the stories we create together. May we continue to look forward with courage, stay united, and keep building a Singapore that we can be proud to call home.

2026 marks 20 years of TGH Photography & Travel and the 20th edition of the Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore—a meaningful coincidence that makes this year’s event even more special.

For me, the Canon Singapore PhotoMarathon has always been more than a photography competition. It’s about embracing creativity, challenging yourself, meeting fellow photographers, and discovering new perspectives through the lens. Every edition brings new stories, friendships and memories that continue to inspire my photography journey.

As I celebrate two decades of , I’m grateful for every experience, every photograph captured, and everyone who has been part of this incredible adventure.
