I had a short trip down to London recently and paid a visit to St Paul's - including walking up the 500+ steps to the top of the dome. Nearly saw me off, that did - but was well worth the effort :-)
St Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s most famous buildings, known for its huge dome and long history. It’s a place people visit to admire the architecture, reflect quietly, or just feel a sense of scale and calm.
Inside, the images show a space that feels grand but also carefully detailed. The ceiling rises high above, covered in colorful mosaics and painted scenes that tell biblical stories. Gold trim runs along the arches and balconies, catching the light from tall windows. Stone columns and carved railings add texture everywhere you look. Even from below, the dome feels massive, wrapping the space in layers of art, history, and soft light.
