Massive fireworks not in Marina Bay?! Awesome sign us up! Here are the images from Jurong Lake Garden. We hope everyone had an amazing National Day and wish everyone stay safe in these trying times!

It took a worldwide pandemic to get a massive fireworks display out of the usual Marina Bay area but man the geniuses at Glorious Singapore made it happen and made it happen big! Spread across the entire island, large fireworks displays were set off with the concept of bringing the celebrations to the heartlands so that the citizens of Singapore are able to join the event in their own homes.

The photos presented were taken from the Jurong Lake Garden display and it was seriously huge! I kind of underestimated the height and had to shift the angle multiple times throughout the 5 min display. But it all worked out and was truly spectacular.

Fireworks Work for National Day 2019 NE1 from the superb Glorious Singapore team!

Fireworks previews for the NE1 show during National day rehearsals. After many years of shooting the fireworks with the constant that the launch platforms are roughly situated in the centre of the bay. It is quite surprising that I've not shot from this location.

It is understandable since it requires standing in the large crowds as well as being relatively near to the fireworks so using a fisheye was critical to get everything going on around.

I dislike uncertain variables when I am doing my work as you can only plan so much and all it takes is a errant persons with a selfie stick to stand right in front of you to derail your perfect plans and add a few more hours to your processing time.

Needless to say... I'm going to find locations at the front of the crowd tomorrow.. =)

Suntec City Fountain of Wealth, Singapore

One of the tougher panoramic compositions Singapore has to offer. In general it's really difficult to get all 4 towers of Suntec city to be straight and without much distortion due to how close and tall they all are. I managed to achieve the vision I had from six years ago with the experience and skills picked up over the years. In the end the concept I used wasn't complicated at all but just tedious to do. Hope you like the image as this has been more than 14 hours of work to create which includes a rework.

Was quite surprised to be able to get the centre spot of this shot easily without any issues. Life is good sometimes!

We are done with River Hongbao 2019 and it was definitely one of the most amazing experiences we've had yet! Congratulations to Glorious Singapore and various teams involved! Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Some of the most amazing pyrotechnics ever to burn in our Singapore night skies. Being used to fireworks as we have it quite frequently, this display felt different.. it felt exciting, exhilarating and wondrous.

Each bloom was a joyful release and the myriad of colours gave such life.

Such a fortunate experience to have seen and photograph such a spectacle of fire!
