I have always enjoyed the creative challenge of shooting portraits in a studio using just a single light. There is something beautifully honest about a minimal setup, no distractions, no excess, just pure control over light and shadow. With only one light source, every adjustment matters. A slight shift in angle, distance, or intensity can completely transform the mood, depth, and emotion of the portrait.

This simplicity pushes me to be intentional. It allows me to sculpt the face, shape the atmosphere, and create dimension through contrast. Light becomes the storyteller, while shadow plays its quiet but powerful supporting role, together crafting portraits with mood, character, and style.

I am truly glad to work with Anna for this editorial studio photo shoot. Her confidence, poise, and expressions naturally elevated the entire session. She brought depth and character to every frame, allowing the light and shadow to shape something refined and expressive.

Deeply grateful to music composer Kotaro Saito-san for having me, it gave me the chance to visit this beautiful part of Japan and capture the energy of so many incredibly talented artists from Japan and around the world.

Last month, I had the privilege of photographing the prestigious Keio University Alumni Mita-Kai event in Singapore, held at the beautiful Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa. It was truly an unforgettable experience. Even though the entire event was conducted in Japanese, I’m grateful that my basic Japanese managed to carry me through.

What made the event even more special was that many alumni flew in all the way from Japan to attend the event. Their presence added such warmth and significance to the gathering, making it feel like a true homecoming far from home.

One of the most magical highlights was witnessing two Maiko flown in from Kyoto, performing a traditional dance that brought so much elegance and authenticity to the event. And of course, our very own Lion’s performance added a local spark that made the event even more special.

It was a heartfelt and successful gathering, one filled with pride, and an incredible sense of belonging. When everyone joined together to sing the school song, the loyalty and spirit in the room were almost overwhelming.

I feel truly honored to have been a part of it.

I’m truly honored to return as the official photographer for Fujifilm Asia Pacific’s Dinner and Dance 2025. This year’s Blockbuster Movie Night theme brought an explosion of imagination to the room, with everyone transforming into iconic characters from beloved films.

The evening was packed with dazzling performances, infectious laughter, and thrilling lucky draw moments. More importantly, it was a meaningful occasion for the company to recognize and appreciate the dedication and hard work of every individual who has contributed to Fujifilm’s success.

As part of the Fujifilm family myself as a X Photographer/ X Creator, capturing the joyful energy, the creative costumes, and the wonderful sense of togetherness was an absolute pleasure. Nights like this always remind me why I love documenting stories, moments filled with fun, connection, and unforgettable memories.

The new Fujifilm X-T30Ill has just been announced, and I was fortunate to take it along on a recent trip to Amsterdam for some street photography. Paired with the compact and lightweight XC13-33mm F3.5-6.3, this little setup proved to be a joy to use. Small, powerful, and impressively affordable within the Fujifilm lineup.

What stood out most to me was how seamless it felt to shoot with. The film simulation dial, now featured on many Fujifilm models, made it incredibly quick and intuitive to switch between film looks on the go. Whether I wanted the classic tones of Classic Chrome, the vibrant punch of Velvia, or the abstract B&W of Acros, the camera let me capture the city's atmosphere exactly the way I envisioned them, instantly and effortlessly.

It's a reminder that great storytelling doesn't always require heavy gear. Sometimes, all you need is a light setup, a sharp eye, and a city full of character.

I'm honored to photograph for Flamenco Sin Fronteras at this year’s Singapore Flamenco Festival, featuring Tauromagia, a powerful Spanish production that explores the deep emotional and cultural roots of flamenco.

Inspired by the connection between flamenco and the bullfight, Tauromagia is a moving performance that blends music and dance into a striking visual experience. First premiered at the renowned Festival de Jerez in 2018, it stars award-winning flamenco dancer Mercedes Ruiz, known for her passion and precision.

The music, composed by acclaimed guitarist Santiago Lara, is paired with the soulful voice of flamenco singer David Lagos. Together, they pay tribute to legendary guitarist Manolo Sanlúcar, whose iconic album Tauromagia inspired the show.
