I’m often asked on how I ended up becoming a portrait photographer.
It began with my fascination for Renaissance portrait painters—the Old Masters who would spend time understanding their subjects before ever picking up a brush. Conversations came first. Then came decisions on mood, colour, composition, and medium. Their process wasn’t rushed. It was thoughtful, intentional, and deeply personal.
That’s what I strive to bring into my work today where each image is a piece of Art that you can hang on the wall & admire for generations.
Every portrait begins with a conversation, building comfort and trust—before translating that into mood, colour, and expression.
This recently commissioned portrait reflects that painterly, timeless approach.
