Meeting Amanda and Nikhil was like a breath of fresh air!

Love comes at any age. Even if we’re past 30 it doesn’t mean it’s the end and it only proves that just like fine wine, it ages well 🍷

I remember as we chatted through the details of the cosy solemnisation at their residence at the Marina One, the question of whether everything was going to be okay with the tight space, what if this, what if thats.

But having done this for years, it was no problemo for The Good Citizen!

I love how we weaved in and around the gorgeous architecture of Marina One, chased light for a bit, and then headed up for the coziest solemnisation surrounded by close friends and watched by loved ones abroad.

As always, I couldn’t wait to get onto those pictures and while we joked about how this was our trial shoot before the actual day in a couple months time, you can be sure reading “please book yourself for the date” brought one heck of a smile to my face 🤩 - Timo

One thing I love so much about Family Time Capsules these days is how fun it is to spend time with different generations all in one place 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🏠

While Weddings still hold a big place in my heart, I feel that the years have guided me towards a deeper love for what comes after.

Families come in all shapes and sizes; from the sprawling generations, to the first baby a newly wed ushers in with nervous excitement, the emotions range and vary, but they ultimately bring so much joy.

And I’m glad I’ve curated my Time Capsules such that everyone gets to enjoy the best, with the same calmness (and maybe wildness to keep the kids entertained) and lightning speed to get every precious shot in the bag before anyone’s energy expires (parent or child) 🥶

Capture down the best moments before they disappear! And never forget that The Good Citizen will never let you down 🫶🏼

When Yi Ann came to me asking if we could do a graduation and family shoot all rolled into one in our Family Time Capsule shoot, I said “why not?!”

After all, just like how every shoot before your wedding is a pre-wedding shoot (even it’s solo?! lol), anything with your family there just counts it.

Meh it doesn’t even matter how many people are in the family, we roll with it and we make the most of it every time!

So we made the most of our evening running through my favourite evening spots - Gillman Barracks and Canterbury Road. Even though Canterbury isn’t fully green anymore, with buildings peaking over the horizon, the sunset views remain unparalleled.

We climbed, screamed and shouted and everyone was in high spirits even til the last minute! 🙌🏼

Family Time Capsules will always be my favourite thing to do, meeting each member of the family and capturing a diverse range of personalities.

Once in a while you meet the right people and everything just falls into place.

When Raph and Rai came knocking on our doors to document their not-so-casual-but-casual solemnisation. How to say no their bubbly and crazy personalities? 💯

Especially since I’ve scaled down the quantity of my job to focus on the quality of what I can give to my precious clients. Intentionally meeting crazy folks like these two are a given!

Everything from the cosy and quaint family and close friends surrounding them, to their outstanding excitement rubbed right off. And how could anyone forget Rai’s infectious JOY to get married? 🥹

So much to talk about, but just looking at the pictures reminds me always that the authenticity of how I capture and weave each story along with my couples’ unique personalities is what I live for! - Timo

You'd probably remember Kevin and Vitoria from the super classy proposal I did a while back.

It's really heartening to know that even though they'd already secured an all-in package for their actual day wedding, they still wanted me down to get some cool portraits after the ceremony simply because they knew I'd deliver. 🫶🏻
So for the first time ever, I showed up after the solemnisation was over and we traversed around Raffles Hotel getting some solid shots for keeps!

With the session done, the pair couldn't wait to get out of everything they wore, so I bid my farewell and made my way off towards my second engagement nearby. But with a small buffer time in between, I pulled out my laptop and blitzed through the set and boy it was worth it considering the images were fresh on my mind and I couldn't wait to see them anyway!

Post-weddings are totally a thing. And I'd do anything for my adventurous and crazy couples 🫰🏻

Remember that other time we got wet wet wet wet wet?

Loke and Estee said RAIN OR SHINE so when we rolled up at Gardens By The Bay we just dove right in. We had 10 minutes of dry and then boom. ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️

But just like how rain doesn't stop us (I was so wet if I were a plant I think i would have been in danger of root rot), the rain wasn't going to stop Loke's secret plans.

Turns out some time ago Estee's engagement ring went missing. But Loke, like the sweet guy he is, got a replacement one and popped a "will you marry me...again?" In the rain to the unsuspecting Estee. 💍

She of course said yes. We all wet until like that better say yes 😂

When Bill and Yihui approached me for a casual shoot a couple of weeks shortly after their proposal, with a "proper" pre-wedding some time next year before their actual day, I jumped at it of course and said yes! Every opportunity to relive great memories and get some great wacky photos is always up my alley.

We opted for a sunset into night shoot, something generally uncommon but very welcome in my books because it tests the limits of creativity with what available light there is.

Lemme just get two things straight:
- They nailed it 🫶🏻
- Every shoot before your wedding day is a pre-wedding shoot 🫣

It's burger time!

Part two of cool kids Darren and Michelle whom I love and can't wait to make greater pictures on their big day.

We powered through this pre-wedding in three parts with one on the top of a super cool and urban industrial building for some warm sunset vibes before making it back at night to the streets to round off with burgers, sparklers and a whole lot of love.

Now why am I suddenly craving for McDonald's... 🍔

I'll probably need two posts for the first time in a long time to actually encapsulate how cool Darren and Michelle are.

Cool kids like them need a big field to run around and frolick in the sun. Cool kids like them also get a nice vintage car to hangout. Cool kids like them also love chilling under the trees munching on their McDonald's while saving the burgers for the evening when we hit the road under the street lamps.

Where are the night pictures you ask? Exactly. 10 photos no space. Enjoy this! I did 🫰🏻

Max and Felicia are coolness personified!
When I first met them, I found out that they were both former chefs at .sg, one of my favourite places to shoot. We hit off so well and I knew it was going to be such a joy and excitement to make some great images for them 📸

While chatting about the plan for the pre-wedding shoot, it was evident where one of our locations would be - Back in the kitchen of Artemis of course! The other location? Tekka Market, a representation of the grocery and market trips they often take on their off days together.

I even found another plant buddy in Max as we chatted over lunch about our love for Monstera Thai Constellations and finding space for our collections (Plant lovers where you at!!!) 🪴

I'm really thankful to find couples whom I can vibe with and I can't wait to see this pair again on their actual day! :)
