Overscoop is a cozy dessert cafe in Singapore specialising in waffles, croffles, and gelato — topped with their iconic free mini scoop so you can try another flavour. 🧇🍨

Dropped by their very aesthetic-looking outlet at Tanjong Pagar and here's what we tried:

A classic - crisp on the outside, with soft, warm, and stretchy mochi on the inside. 😍😍 Topped with a single scoop of 𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐨 & mini scoop of 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 - what's not to love about this? 🤩🤩

A perfect blend of croissant and waffle! This was crisp, doughy and buttery all at once. 🥰🥰 Had this with a single scoop of 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐟𝐟 & mini scoop of 𝐡𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐤. Honestly think this would go very well with a nice cup of tea. 🍵

🧋𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐖 🎉

📍 AYI Soya Milk 🥛✨

At .sg, their soya milk is made fresh daily and they hope to promote soy milk as a healthier choice over milk tea!
They've recently launched their new bean curd series that come with a range of toppings to choose from! Here's what I tried:

[𝐍𝐄𝐖] 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐝 🍮
My first time having soy beancurd with red bean! It was mildly sweet and the beancurd had a pudding-like texture.

[𝐍𝐄𝐖] 𝐀𝐘𝐈 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐝 🍮
This was rly smooth but less firm than the red bean I'd say. I'm honestly more used to the more watery/ sweet kinda beancurds but this would be a healthier option I guess!

𝐁𝐨𝐁𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤🧋
First time having soy milk with boba! This was surprisingly less sweet than I'd expected cos the usual brown sugar pearls I have outside tend to be rly sweet. 🤣 The boba wasn't chewy and had more of a soft bite to it instead.

𝐀𝐘𝐈 𝐒𝐨𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤🥛
This was mildy sweet just like the other items! Great alternative to dairy milk, for those who are lactose intolerant. ✨

𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭 🍹
This was slightly sweeter than the soy drinks/ beancurd and I love that the mung beans added texture to the drink. Would be great on a hot day. 🙌🏻

📢 CALLING ALL EASTIES! ✨

has opened their newest branch in Eastpoint Mall! Got to try their popular 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐩 and it was absolutely 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘰𝘬. We got the 小辣 (mild-spicy) but it was still rather spicy I feel, so if you have low tolerance for spicy food, maybe opt for collagen soup instead (or just prepare a drink just in case). The scrambled eggs were amazing (but then again I could be biased cos i LOVE eggs). 😍😍 Oh yes also, pls make sure to opt for the fried option cos they will then fry your potato + lotus root (like potato chips kinda vibes) and lunchen meat!!!

📍Hundred Acre Creamery (Westgate)

Popped by one of my favourite dessert spaces and got myself a luxurious double-scoop gelato in a cone! 😍😍 The 𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓 was really rich with bits of hazelnut in it, while the 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓 𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂 & 𝒃𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒇𝒇 was creamy with subtly infused sweet/ buttery notes. I also noticed that their gelato was quite thick and "stretchy", if that makes sense. Try it for yourselves and you'll what I mean! 🤪🤪 Would go back again to try their mochi waffles/ other flavours. 🥰🥰

FlagWhite is a pet-friendly neighbourhood cafe located at Bukit Timah. Been here a few times and I must say, their food never disappoints!

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 [$𝟏𝟖 +$𝟸 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚏𝚏𝚕𝚎 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜]
The breaded chicken was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Super cheesy as well, loved the mushrooms and the tomato sauce. 🥰🥰

𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 & 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 [$𝟏𝟕 +$𝟸 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚏𝚏𝚕𝚎 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜]
I like that the meat wasn't too soft, tasted great with their homemade tartar sauce. 💯💯 Sqeezed some lemon on top too for that extra zest.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 [$𝟏𝟏]
Meat was tender, went well with the sauce (tasted like some kind of mayo I think). Would make a great snack for kids/ while waiting for the mains to come. 🤪🤪

Overall yet another good experience at , would totally go back again! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

One of my favourite cafes! Visited this place a while back and here's what I tried. ☺️☺️

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 [$𝟏𝟖]
This was an outlet-exclusive item, and I gotta say it was SO GOOD. 😍😍 The grilled portobello mushrooms went so well with the melted cheddar - every bite tasted like heaven. 💯💯

𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚 [$𝟐𝟐]
This was so good as well, loved the texture of the scallops. The mentaiko sauce was thick but not too overwhelming or 𝘫𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘬. Kinda creamy, would totally order this again. ☺️☺️

𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐨 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐚 𝐃𝐨𝐧 [$𝟏𝟖]
This tasted kinda homely/ comforting. Warm rice together with the tender pork belly - what's not to like right? 😍😍

Overall had a really good experience at this place, would absolutely head back for another visit. Please recommend me more items on their menu to try! ☺️☺️

Patisserie Woo is an artisanal pastry and gelato shop. All their products are created using fine ingredients sourced from around the world - such as Sicilian pistachios and Kyoto matcha. Here's what we tried:

𝐘𝐮𝐳𝐮 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐤𝐞 [$𝟕.𝟓𝟎]
Isn't this one of the prettiest cakes you've ever seen! 🥰 There were distinct layers of yuzu and mango, and I like how it was sweet with a tinge of sourness.

𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐆𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨 [$𝟓]
This Italian classic of chocolate and milk indulgence uses 70% dark chocolate. The chocolate was quite thick, I'd recommend pairing this with a nice refreshing drink on the side. ✨

𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐮 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭 [$𝟓]
I'm sure no introduction is needed to everyone's favourite classic. The croissant was crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. 🥰 Would've preferred if there was wayyy more chocolate filling though!

𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐘𝐮𝐳𝐮 𝐓𝐞𝐚 [$𝟔]
This was really refreshing, with a distinct sweetness from the honey. The yuzu bits were also great in bringing the whole drink together. ✨

𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐚 [$𝟔]
This was light on the taste buds and had a pleasant floral taste to it as well. I like that it was mildly sweet too! ✨

Rekab Café is Muslim-friendly and aesthetically-pleasimg cafe that specialises in croffles and crepe cakes. 💯💯 Discovered this hidden gem recently and tried their 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠 + 𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙩 [$8]! ✨✨

𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 & 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐬
The croffles were so good guys... crispy on the outside, yet super warm and fluffy on the inside. 😍😍 The 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆 🍫 sauce was thick and went so well with the croffle - would recommend for chocolate lovers out there. The 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒊 𝒕𝒆𝒂 🍵 one was also good - had a slight tinge of thai milk tea taste to it, and I like that it wasn't too sweet either.

𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐚 ☕️
As an iced mocha lover myself, I gotta say this drink was objectively not it. 😩😩 Same sentiments from my friend too - quite disappointing. Who knows though, maybe their other drinks are nicer.... HAHA.

Was a good experience overall, would definitely go back for the croffles and try the crepes maybe. 💯💯
