SPL 2023 Matchweek 9 - Young Lions VS Lion City Sailors

The Sailors returned to Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday hoping to record a victory against hosts Young Lions who were able to sn**ch 2 points from Brunei DPMM at the death of their previous game, and were looking for yet another positive result to carry momentum into their SEA Games campaign that is on the horizon.

A largely uneventful game saw the visitors pull ahead in the 6th minute as Maxime Lestienne got his name on the scoresheet, continuing to make his case as the potential SPL Player Of The Year. Missed opportunities and goalkeeping heroics on both ends of the pitch saw the score remain unchanged until the dying minutes of the match which saw Young Lions win a penalty. Jordan Emaviwe then stepped up to the spot and placed his effort out of Zharfan Rohaizad's reach, pulling the score level as final whistle was blown.

here are some of my favourite pictures from the last day of the national age group competition :D managed to try a few creative shots aside from the usual action and emotion shots so pretty happy with the photos overall.

managed to catch 2 sessions of u16 yesterday as well as the last u18 squad session :) pretty tiring shoot but honestly still really happy because of the many satisfactory shots i was able to get + squad atmosphere is 👌👌

too many pics for one post so ill probably put some up in the stories soon but here's a number of them that i really liked :D

sbf national age group 2023 11 march

returned to the lanes of temasek club yesterday as the week-long national age group competition got underway :D honestly really glad to have been back yesterday, seeing some familiar faces from the primary and seconday schools league, as well as meeting new bowlers and people.

looking forward to return for more NAG action in the coming days and hopefully capture some even nicer pictures 🙏😀

SPL 2023 Matchweek 3 - Young Lions VS Tampines Rovers (3/3)

The Stags headed to Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday to face off against their hosts Young Lions who looked to secure victory in their first home game of the 2023, while Tampines hoped to add a second triumph to the win column and build on what has been a solid start to their SPL season.

The 2-0 scoreline remained as such for most of the second half as The Stand continued to chant passionately and tirelessly to push the visitors on. It would eventually pay off in the 82nd minute of play as 19 year-old midfielder Ong Yu En squeezed a close-range effort past Aizil Yazid to get his name on the scoresheet for Tampines for the first time. With the late goal, the Stags succesfully closed out the game to secure a well-deserved victory and clean sheet.

SPL 2023 Matchweek 3 - Young Lions VS Tampines Rovers (2/3)

The Stags headed to Jalan Besar Stadium yesterday to face off against their hosts Young Lions who looked to secure victory in their first home game of the 2023, while Tampines hoped to add a second triumph to the win column and build on what has been a solid start to their SPL season.

The scoreline remained goalless through the first half an hour of action, but Tampines looked more clinical and threatening as they struck both posts of the Young Lions goal on 2 separate occassions. They wouldn't need to wait much longer though as a powerful headed effort from Taufik Suparno found the back of the net in the 31st minute. The Stags would then go on to double their advantage 3 minutes later, courtesy of the Faris Ramli who was able to find the bottom corner with his weak foot.

woke up way too early to go on a nature walk with my friends at lower pierce nature park last week and decided to bring my camera along just to capture whatever we could find. being my first time going out to do wildlife photography in a few months, i wasnt able to find much unfortunately but pretty happy with these shots of a long-tailed macaque and a pair of pacific swallows.

i really do miss heading out every saturday morning to do wildlife photography with my dad so hopefully we'll be able to make a return to it soon :)

Ovo FC VS Maestro FC 5 March 2023

had a great time shooting a sunday league matchup between .fc and a few days ago as i took a short break from the bright lights of the spl :)

thankfully the rain stopped just in time for kick off (but not in time to prevent me from drenching my second pair of sports shoes :3) so no rain throughout the match + pitch was still wet so some splashes here and there in a number of the shots made the pictures look just a bit prettier :D

thankful for the opportunity from both teams and looking forward to the next shoot with them 🙏

MSHS Cross Country 2023

glad to be given the opportunity to help capture pictures at the annual mshs cross country that returned after a pandemic-caused 3 year hiatus :D following several days of heavy downpour, while the floor was really muddy, the sun finally chose to make its return which made for some really nice pictures that morning :)

SPL 2023 Matchweek 2 - Lion City Sailors VS Brunei DPMM (3/3)

The Sailors returned to home ground at Bishan Stadium yesterday as they looked to build on last Friday's win against Tanjong Pagar United. 7 days on from the opening win of their 2023 campaign, they took on visitors Brunei DPMM, made their long-awaited return to the SPL after a 3-year pandemic-forced hiatus.

Brunei DPMM was able to pull the score level in the 62nd minute of the second half to worry the home crowd, taking full advantage of a defensive mistake by the Sailors. The Crew would eventually be on their feet again though, as the foreign trio of Lestienne, Lopes and Tanaka would eventually combine to put the sailors back in the driver's seat, with the Japanese scoring his 3rd in 2 games. Abdul Rasaq would then come on to settle the issue in stoppage time, scoring his first in the white and blue as the Sailors move on to 2 wins in as many matches.
