Five years ago today…
Larry and Jia En’s wedding happened during one of the strangest periods many of us have lived through.
Masks were required.
Guest numbers were limited.
There was no big reception.
No packed ballroom.
No grand celebration.
Just a small ROM with close family and handful of friends, and a quiet evening spent outdoors with the people who mattered most.
I remember the bride sharing words of gratitude with her parents in the morning.
I remember the groom, usually calm and confident, trying to hold back tears during the ceremony.
I remember the laughter, the hugs, and the convoy of off-road vehicles parked on the grass as everyone settled into a simple picnic under the night sky.
Looking through these photographs again today, I realised something.
The world around us has changed.
My editing style has evolved over the years.
But the emotions remain exactly the same.
Five years later, these images still feel the way that day felt.
