The key to our apartment no more fits
I've stopped gathering pieces and bits
Didn't count dates, maybe a few years
Living alone is no more a fear

There is a deep stain of red in my eye
helplessly tears falling for every lie
drenched, yet not in despair
drowning, that I can swear
but at the end of depth
there are promises that we kept
now picture me a princess who's looking
to the world in front and searching
picturing you a hero who will come running
to take me away and we'll set sailing
to courses not heard, not known
lost in the mist, disappearing
a fantasy land that we created
where we can never be separated
I can see all that as I look out
