The few who followed me before have perhaps noticed that I pretty much stopped uploading to my social media. There are some good reasons why.
Sometimes one needs a break, whatever the reason is. I have simply prioritized other things in my life that needed my attention. Honestly, I wasn't satisfied myself with the quality of the material I was uploading lately, and that is because of me posting under a lot of stress. Despite what social media have led many to believe, photography is not something to be made instantaneously. Not at least the type of photography I want to do. It needs time. Time to care and give attention to what one is doing. For various reasons, I didn't have that anymore. And while I am not going to share with you all of the reasons (they are personal), this post can tell you about the main one: I bought a farm! ...and this is the house where I live now.
I still don't know how regularly I am going to be posting, but I have decided that I would not be making any hasty productions or taking more jobs I wouldn't feel good about, just because I needed to build a portfolio and a name. I am who I am and I do what I do. What matters the most for me now is to feel good about what I photograph, not mass production! In the future, expect to see sporadic publications of what I am most proud of.
That said, I haven't stopped photographing. In fact, I have never sold so much on my stock photography profiles as I do at the moment, which sincerely makes me glad, even though it is "only" enough to pay for my streaming services. Yet I still did not have time to update my RedBubble profile (it's really not easy to have a full time job and deal with many photography profiles like this). If you are a buyer and read this, thank you in deed for the recognition! 🙏
To all of you who have been patiently reading this, I wish you a prosperous 2023! 🥳
