One of my absolute favorite places is Replot in Ostrobothnia, Finland. 🇫🇮

The long sunsets, silence and magical Nordic light bring a sense of calm that is hard to describe. It’s a place where I recharge – and sometimes almost forget to take photographs.

Some moments don’t need a camera. They stay with you anyway.

Can you feel the calm in this image?

I had read about Senja for years, but nothing prepared me for seeing it with my own eyes.

I arrived in northern Norway just as the first snow had settled over the mountains.

That afternoon, I set out towards Segla — and somehow chose the wrong trail. Back down I went, found the right path, and started climbing all over again.

By the time I reached the viewpoint, the light was beginning to fade.

And then everything became quiet.

The mountains. The snow. The fjord far below. The cold northern light.

For a moment, I almost forgot about the camera.

I took only 3 photographs.

Then I simply stood there and let the silence speak.

Can you feel some of the stillness I felt that afternoon?

I had dreamed for a long time of going to Lofoten in Norway. Eventually, I decided to go for it, found the courage, and made the trip.

I had heard that the mountain Reinebringen was supposed to be magical. I hiked up the mountain and took this photo.

Do you think I managed to capture the midnight sun well?

I drove 600 km just for this sunset. It’s placed on the Northern part of Sweden.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of photographing for starforlife, an organization that works with young people and raises awareness about HIV/AIDS and other important issues.

During my photo journey out in the landscape, I came across this young person who proudly wanted to be part of the image.

Both the person and the landscape are magical, and I truly love the sense of mystery surrounding this photograph.

Senja in Northern Norway.

This beautiful place completely swept me away — but sometimes things do not go quite as planned.

I had intended to hike up the mountain and meet this magical view, but I ended up taking the wrong trail. It became 600 meters of elevation gain, the same way back down again, and then up the next mountain before I finally reached the place called Segla.

The reward was the beauty, the silence, and the view.

The image was captured as a panorama, composed of 12 separate photos. It was truly magical to be there and experience this part of the world.

The Finnish light is magical to me. The first time I came here and discovered the light that slowly appeared after the sun had set, I was captivated by its mystery. It was almost like being inside a film.

The image has not been edited. I always create my landscape photographs based on the camera’s own technical capabilities, and I develop my technique according to what the camera allows me to achieve.
