Yesterday’s wedding in Stockholm, 8.8.26. 🤍

At one point, the youngest daughter proudly announced that EVERYONE had to see Mum’s ring. And, of course, we had to capture that moment too. 😄

The ring was absolutely gorgeous. There were plenty of “ohhh”, “ahhh” and “wow!” including from me. 😂

And once again, I was asked countless times by both family and guests:

“So… how long have you known the couple?”

I honestly don’t know what kind of magic this is, but Swedes seem to open up very quickly around me. Somehow, within a few minutes, it feels like we’ve known each other forever.

At one point, even the couple and I started wondering whether we had actually met before. 🤣

I guess that’s my secret superpower as a wedding photographer — making people forget I’m there to work and feel like I’m simply one of the friends. 🤍

A year ago, I seriously wondered if I could keep photographing weddings.

I felt emotionally drained. I could be surrounded by so much happiness and still find myself crying afterwards, feeling strangely sad and comparing my life to the lives I was documenting. I thought is not fair to couples that I feel sad.

Then, a few months pas by - lots of life changing events in so many unexpected ways...Somehow, this year, I fell in love with wedding photography all over again.

Not because of the beautiful venues, the dresses or the perfect photographs.

Because of the people. My previous and new clients.

Every couple I meet becomes a little mirror for me. Through their stories, I get to experience and preserve something I never want to lose in myself: that romantic hope, that slightly childish belief that love is real, that it exists, and that it can find us in all kinds of unexpected ways.

Their stories remind me that love is also about courage. The courage to believe in something, to choose each other, and to let life unfold.

And perhaps that's what I love most about being a wedding photographer.

I get to witness people saying yes to love, and preserve the little moments that make that love feel real. ❤️

Last year, I was standing in this exact spot when a couple walked up to me and asked: "Hey! Do weddings ever happen here?"

I smiled and replied:"Actually… there's going to be a wedding here in just a little while!"*

We started chatting, and that's how they found me as their wedding photographer.

They met eight years ago at a BBQ party, and he proposed to her in a hot air balloon above Stockholm. 🩷

After the ceremony, another couple came over to congratulate them. It turned out they had been married in that very same spot on the exact same date - 28 years ago.

It was such a beautiful day, filled with tears, laughter, and so much love. As we walked through the city, strangers applauded, smiled, and congratulated the newlyweds.

Today I photographed the sweetest wedding at a historic venue. 🤍

It was filled with my favorite colors – soft pastel tones. Everything looked so elegant and romantic.

One detail that stayed with me: they met on Tinder three years ago, and their very first date happened at this exact place. That's why they chose to get married here. I always love weddings with stories like this.

And here's something I've noticed... The more weddings I photograph, the more I realize how many of my couples met on Tinder. Many of them also found each other after 30. It's a beautiful reminder that anything is possible and that love can find you when you least expect it.

Sometimes the most beautiful stories begin with one simple swipe. 🤍

August is one of my favourite months for outdoor photography in Stockholm. The evenings become softer, the sunsets arrive a little earlier, and the golden light is simply beautiful.

I'm now opening bookings for August summer sessions and autumn family sessions in Stockholm.

Whether it's an evening by the water, a walk through the forest, or simply an ordinary day you want to remember, my goal is always the same—to create photographs that feel natural, relaxed and genuinely like you.

Weekday evenings are the best option, as Saturdays are primarily reserved for weddings.

If you've been thinking about updating your family photos or simply capturing this season of your life, I'd love to hear from you.

A little wedding photography thought after this summer’s weddings.

One trend I have noticed more and more this year is couples wanting to do their couple portraits BEFORE the ceremony.

And I completely understand why. The idea sounds beautiful: you have more time, you can relax, you can “get the photos done” before the day gets busy.

But after photographing many weddings, I want to share something from my perspective as a photographer.

No matter how much I help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, no matter how much we talk, laugh, and create a relaxed atmosphere… body language cannot lie.

I am not a magician. I can guide you, suggest poses, help you connect, and make you feel more natural — but I cannot completely remove the emotions you naturally carry before walking down the aisle.

Because before the ceremony, there is usually a lot happening internally:
•excitement
•nerves
•anticipation
•the feeling of “this is really happening”
•thoughts about the schedule and everything going perfectly

And that changes the way you hold each other.

The hug before the ceremony and the hug after the ceremony are not the same.

The way you sit next to each other before saying your vows and the way you sit together after becoming husband and wife are not the same.

The energy is different.

After the ceremony, after seeing each other, after the hugs from your closest people, after the champagne, after finally being able to breathe… there is a kind of connection that cannot be recreated.

This is why I always recommend making time for couple portraits AFTER the ceremony.

It doesn’t have to take hours.

It can be:
•15–30 minutes during the mingling time
• a short moment before dinner
• stepping outside during the evening when the light is beautiful

Even if you have already done portraits before the ceremony, you will often notice the difference yourself when we take those few photos afterwards.

The relaxed shoulders.
The genuine smiles.
The way you naturally reach for each other.
The little touches and looks that happen without thinking.

One more thing: before the ceremony, I also personally recommend keeping your dress and yourself feeling fresh. The adventure photos in fields, beaches, forests, and everywhere else are beautiful, but there is something special about walking into your ceremony feeling completely ready for that moment. After the ceremony? That’s when the real adventure can begin.

So if you are planning your wedding for next year, please consider this:

Don’t only plan your timeline around getting photos done.

Plan it around experiencing your day.

Because the most meaningful photos are often not the perfectly planned ones, they are the moments when you finally realise: “We are married.”

This wedding was the reason I packed my bike and headed to Åland. 🩷

One of the things I love most about being a wedding photographer is that every wedding takes me somewhere new. Sometimes the journey becomes part of the story.

This time, I arrived a few days early and explored Åland by bike, slowing down, camping, and enjoying nature before stepping into the beautiful energy of a wedding day.

I didn't take many landscape photos during the trip—I was mostly recharging and documenting my own little adventure. But once the wedding day arrived, my camera was exactly where it belonged.

Here's a little glimpse of a beautiful celebration and the adventure that led me there.

Friday was such a beautiful wedding day.

There was something so quintessentially Scandinavian about it — just family, close friends, a boat ride through the Stockholm archipelago, laughter, and so much love. Everything felt genuine, unhurried, and perfectly true to who they are as a couple.

I think that's one of the things I appreciate most about Sweden: the art of keeping things simple. Just meaningful moments shared with the people who matter most.

Every love story is different, yet each one leaves me with a little more faith in love.
