Last night's 98% moon rising over Mariaberget.
Fantastic clear conditions and I got super lucky with my choice of location that I didn't even have to move my gear and run around like a loon a bit here and there for the perfect spot! The moon just rose beautifully from east to west above Södermalm and I counted 5 main compositions over buildings just from 1 frame! A timelapse to come sometime over the weekend ✨️🌝
I was out this morning for the partial lunar eclipse, saw it on my walk to location up on Högdalstoppen when it was around 40% partial, then in 10 mins whilst I got to location it played its elusive card and hid behind clouds until it set below horizon. Tough love but thats how it can go. It was beautiful views though with lots of early morning fog pockets all around and a decent sunrise too, plus the best company of my eldest 🥰

Feeling the ocean rush up over your feet in the darkness, whilst under the soft gaze of the milky way is an incredible feeling... both scary, exhilarating and also humbling at how small we all are under the blanket of space..✨️🌌

Yesterday's sunset from järnvägsbron in Stockholm. First time out with the camera for a while, I'm back at work after a wonderful 7 weeks holidays which is a shock to the system I can tell you! But its all good, great to be out again with the camera under a spectacular sky 🌅
It also gave me the chance to use a new haidaoptics filter they've released. It's an ultra low reflection polarising filter and first impressions are impressive. I'll be testing it out much more in the coming weeks and writing a review on it so if cpl filters are your thing, stay tuned for more info on this filter in the coming weeks✨️

A summer's dream
I've missed doing abstract photography as its been a while, so when I saw this rowanberry tree in full bloom I wanted to create an abstract icm shot with a painterly vibe to it. The Swedish countryside feel in the summer with the quaint garden gate works well with the tree giving a dreamy, summery feel to the shot - joyfully lost in a Swedish summer🌅🇸🇪

🌌 Aimed at beginner to intermediate level. Fast track your astro landscape photography to a high standard in a fraction of the time it takes to self learn
🌌 My teaching style is relaxed & fun and during the shoot I show by demonstration. Then I'm on hand to guide and support you where needed
🌌 Choose from 3 tier options:
1/ Shooting the milky way (2 or 3 hours)
2/ Option 1 plus a 2 hour editing session in Lightroom classic. Processing astro images is easily 50% of the work involved to create a great image. This will fast track your editing skills and save hours of frustrating YouTube videos with no-one to ask when you get stuck!
3/ Option 2 plus a 2 hour theory covering planning, camera settings, shooting techniques and much more for the ultimate experience and overall best value option
🌌 You will need your own camera, dslr 2012 or newer or any mirrorless camera. A tripod, min 35mm FF equivalent lens / min F4 aperture, ideally F2.8 or wider
🌌 We'll cover the planning of night sky shooting including best times of the year for shooting astro photography / Some useful apps to help you plan your shoot / A PDF doc full of valuable tips and tricks 🌌 Camera settings for correct exposure and sharp stars / Composition scouting / Manual focusing techniques on sky & foreground / Focus stacking foreground and blending with sky images/ Discover the benefits of shooting to stack your sky images / Lightpainting foregrounds
