I think there is an undeniable, unavoidable beauty in photographing the elderly, and even more if they are special to you.

Here's a photograph of my grandmother. She has been retired for 25 years, but used to be a physician and specialist in four fields. I've only known her as my grandmother that makes delicious Chinese food, but sometimes, at certain moments, it's as if you get a glimpse of her past.
